My most treasured concert memory is seeing Bryan Adams when I was ten years old. First off I won them by calling into a radio station and singing nervously on air for them...I cant believe my ten year old self even ha the nerves to do that then because I don't know if I could now!!! But anyway...I won the tickets an had to be accompanied by an adult,so my father booked the night off and took me. Every Time I hear a Bryan Adams song it takes me back to that night,to feeling the music pump through your veins,to feel the beat and feel like your heart was trying to match its rhythm. I have been concert and contest obsessed ever since my first experience with both! It was truly unforgettable,I remember singing and dancing my heart out like it was just yesterday!

I've been to so many concerts, I got to attend these concerts from being privileged enough to have been born in Brooklyn, and having grown up in NYC. I know a lot of people who became Rock Stars. I was close to Pete Steele from Carnivore & Type-O (RIP), Went to school with most of Biohazard (Evan & Danny) & still friends Bobby Hambel, and so many more--But this is about my favorite show. That would be Mercyful Fate at L'Amour in Brooklyn. I was invited to go into the tour bus with them and asked to go to their hotel in New Jersey, but as the bus pulled off, I decided not to go for various reasons, which I won't disclose here. The other favorite show was Mercyful Fate, Mötörhead & Exciter at the Beacon Theater, NYC. I got backstage because I had already met Mercyful Fate the week before at L'Amour, and I got to meet Wendy O. Williams!!! (RIP) who was also backstage, as she was good friends with Lemmy Kilmister(RIP) from Mötörhead. Wendy and Lemmy were two of my favorite Rock Stars, and two of the nicest people I have ever had the privilege to meet. :drink: They were, by far, the nicest and most real of all the many stars I've met, aside from the Rock stars I've known and still know. Lemmy and I sat and spoke for the entire time backstage until they went onstage. I was fortunate enough to had run into Lemmy several times at clubs and bars when he was in NYC. He always said he remembered me. Lemmy said he had a photographic memory, and I believe him! He remembered playing Centipede with me at L'Amour Brooklyn and he even remembered the score he beat me by! I've had an AMAZING R&R life, and I wouldn't trade it for the world! I am currently married to Spike Polite from Sewage NYC Punk Rock & he's currently playing with Reagan Youth. I've known these guys for over 20 years, and been to all their shows too! I love my R&R life <3

I am a huge Katy Perry fan and the first time I got to see her was back in August 2015. I went with my boyfriend at the time and the venue was 2 hours away. I had bought seats in the "reflection section" which was basically the GA pit. This made it even more possible for us to touch Capital Cities, the opening act, and Katy Perry (although I never actually got to touch her I did touch the hand of one of the two main guys in Capital Cities). I had seen her in magazines, photos, and all other forms of social media but never in person which made everything more surreal as she emerged from the 3D prism in the middle of the stage. I am super excited that she is coming to a venue only 45 min away from me in December! I can't wait to go and see her for the second time!

my fav concert was july 30th 2011 for LA RISING at the Los Angeles Coliseum me and about 8 friends were all packed in my friend joshs 1992 chevy van (party van) i had about 40$ in my pocket (tickets cost about 75$ vip tickets was about 140$) our plan was to use my other friends alex's passes that worked for the concert security (it was his day off) so the passes we had were for a completley diff concert....we walked in the first gate super easy by showing our passes and being confident in our and posture . ..but the problem was my friend with the passes never worked at the coliseum before so we were walking around the backstage with fake passes and 8 clueless ppl not knowing where to go.. first we walked into a building thinking it would lead to the side of the concert somehow but nope ... right when we walked in we were met by a few random receptionist my buddy with the passes had a few words with them and we all walked out pretending to be working (i jus stayed on my phone pretending i was talking to someone important) NEXT we found what it looked like to be a stairway that led to the back of a stage we all ran down as fast as we can thinking this was the end but NOPE this was the main stage so we had to run all the way back up the stairs walked thru the backstage area a little more then found an opening in the gate showed the other security our fake passes stayed confident and boom we were in BUT we were still super far from the actual ARTIST our plan was to go front stage which was vip cost about 140$ BUT we had the magical passes ... we went down to show our passes and we were IN we watched LAUREN HILL IMORTAL TECHINIQUE MUSE AND RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE for free and i still had my 40$ was in the mosh pit the whole time for rage against the machine........... and on the way back home we kept yelling "WE CAME WE SAW WE CONQUERED"...... :smug: :smug: :smug:  :bye: :balloon: :star: :trophy: :trophy: :trophy: :trophy: :trophy: :trophy: :trophy: :trophy: :trophy: :trophy: :trophy: :trophy:

Went to see Joan Jet and the Black Hearts, it was first come first serve standing, I got right up front at the stage, caught a Guitar pick, and after the Show was over I was waiting on the traffic to clear out, it started raining, and i was going to head to my car, there were about 10 other people standing there, the band came out, and we asked for autographs, Joan asked us to come to the bus and they would sign them on the Bus, so we got to talk to her and the band, got her autograph, She was AWESOME i still have the caste cover she signed it says Meri Rock hard Joan Jet. yea that was the best concert i ever attended.

My best concert ever just happened June 29, 2017. I am a HUGE New Kids On The Block fan, have been ever since I was 15, I am 43 now and I FINALLY got to meet them and tell Jordan Knight I named my 24 year old daughter after him. I had front row seats, got to touch Jordan, Joe and Donnie again during the concert, the night was just perfect. I have pictures and video from the night and the wait was for sure worth it!

My favourite concert memory would have to be when me and my mom went to see Avril Lavigne in Edmonton on Thanksgiving Monday. I got to spend time with my lovely mom and also got to see one of my favourite artists. It was good time all around :). (Also good luck to all that is entering.)

I saw The Beatles 3 times, all three years they toured the USA. THe first year was in Indianapolis Sept. 9, 1964 at the State Fairgrounds. There were 13,000 screaming girls inside the amphitheatre. Tickets were $6.50 and you had to send mail to get one, never knowing if you would. The concert had Jackie DeShannon and Clarence Frogman Henry before the Beatles came on. All three years, they only sang for 40 minutes each, 10 songs. I took photos the whole time in the 23rd row. They threw pitchers of beer on each other and were up on the piano. They came and left the stage in a U-Haul van and when they left, several people ran after the van down the highway, including my friend. You could not hear a thing for 40 minutes after the concert, all deaf from the screams.

Both the 2nd and 3rd years, we saw them in Chicago. One at the baseball stadium. The group that sang Land of 1000 Dances went on before them. After the concert, I got shoved onto a bus I did not want to go on, just the pressing crowd. We stopped to eat on the way home, and I can still remember the cheeseburger and strawberry shortcake I had.

The last year, they were in a concert hall. I was in the 2nd row. The music was deafening. The Beatles acted not the same as John had just made the Jesus comment, which was misinterpreted by everyone, and they were not happy and you could tell they were not having fun. But, the music was still good. I am so glad I got to see them each year. It was an experience.

Thank you BVG for this theme I love it!!!
I love music and I have been to several concerts over the years.

In the 80s: I saw The Beach Boys, Chicago, Jack Wagner (he played Frisco on "General Hospital" years ago and used to be on "Melrose Place" - he was famous for that song "All I Need"), George Michael (miss him!), Madonna (1987 "Who's That Girl" tour - that was exciting, but we sat in the nose bleed section and she looked like a little ant lol), Depeche Mode (in 1988 - my senior year of high school). Saw all those concerts in Southern California where I grew up.

In the 90s: I saw Foreigner (good band!) and one of my very favorite bands, the Eagles. Still in Southern California.

In the 2000s: I went to see the Eagles again (this time while living in Texas). On a trip up to Oklahoma I got the extreme pleasure to see my FAVORITE singer ever, Sir Paul McCartney!! The last concert I saw while living in Texas was The Trans Siberian Orchestra for the Christmas season in 2012 - EXCELLENT show !!
Living back in California now, I got the pleasure to see Sir Paul McCartney a second time in San Francisco for his farewell concert at Candlestick Park. Both shows were amazing!!!!!!! So I'd say seeing one of the Beatles live would win the award for Best. Concert. Ever. (x 2) :trophy: :trophy:

The last concerts I attended were The Hollywood Vampires at the California Mid State Fair and a free show at the Kern County Fair to see Rachel Platten (I never knew who she was but I did recognize a couple of her songs).

Best concert ever was seeing Neil Diamond in 2008 in Pittsburgh Pa. We had seats right up at the stage and I was so amazed how close we were. I never had seats that close and never thought that he would even see me. I had my Neil Diamond shirt on and had a poster saying " Love your songs, Neil". It was a packed audience and when he was on stage I almost fainted because I could really see his face. He started to sing "America" and I jumped up when he came to the phrase "We're coming to America" with my arms waving in the air and he came to the edge of the stage and smiled at me. WOW! I was singing along with "Neil Diamond"...holy smokes! What a super great night I had!

I have seen quite a few good concerts, but my favorite was at the Big E in Massachusetes. One of my favorite bands, or may even be my favorite is Journey. It was a good memory and I was in great company then. We had nice seats, even though we were somewhere in the middle, but by concert standards, we weren't in a large stadium and we were fortunate enough to have seats because others had to stand near or outside the stadium. They put on a great show. Then after the concert ended they even came back and sang a few more.
It was a beautiful night. It was an opened stadium, So we were under the stars. Which was romantic as well, especially their love ballads. They sounded better live, than on the radio. Felt like you were part of the band. The music just enveloped around you, like a hug. If I had the money. I'd love to drive to their many tour stops, especially if I had my own RV. And tour the country as well.

This was years ago. I went to a Country/Western concert with Randy Travis, Tammy Wynette and Ricky Van Shelton. I got there early so I could park close (held at the ASU auditorium) and I was watching people moving equipment into the building. This really cute guy in a red shirt and jeans and cowboy boots came over to talk to me, leaving everyone else to move the equipment in. He was very sweet and polite, and asked me if I was there to "see Randy Travis." I said I was there to see all of them. He said, "Yeah, Tammy Wynette is here too, but who's the third one?" I said, "Ricky Van Shelton." He said, "I never heard of him. What songs does he sing?" I said my favorites were his version of FROM A JACK TO A KING and DON'T WE ALL HAVE THE RIGHT TO BE WRONG NOW AND THEN. He asked if I would recognize Ricky Van Shelton if I were to see him. I honestly said no, because I didn't get to watch too much TV and the cassettes that had his music had such tiny pictures, I couldn't see it. Then he said he had to get back to work and he enjoyed talking to me. He shook my hand and asked my name. I told him "Beth." He said, "Nice to meet you, Beth. I'm Ricky Van Shelton." He went back to work! When he came out on stage, he said, "This song is for a very special lady in the audience. Beth, this is for you!" And he sang FROM A JACK TO A KING. That memory is PRICELESS to me and well worth me playing hookey from my job at the police department!
