The best concert that I ever went to was last year at the Okeechobee Musical Festival in Florida where I saw SNAILS. It was actually the first camping musical festival that I went to and I absolutely love SNAILS so I was the happiest person in the world. His show was absolutely amazing and he is very well known for his visuals when he does concerts so of course it made the music have more "umph" and fun! I can't wait till I see him again and I can't wait for my next festival. ;)

It has to be when I saw U2 @ MSG in NYC right after 9/11. No band can compete with them in concert, but that night was even more special. Most performers backed out of their gigs in NYC right after the attack, but U2 not only performed for New Yorkers, but made sure every Fire Dept and Police station in the city got tixs. It was a very moving performance.

The best concert I have seen was when we were stationed at Yokosuka, Japan Naval Base. We took a trip to Tokyo and Ike and Tina Turner were still together and held a concert at one of their large theatres. There were people of all nationalities and race most of whom did not speak English but the crowd was so enthused to see such great talent. Music is universal and there is nothing like seeing Tina Turner. She has it all!

Mark Knopfler, Clapton's friend made us dream that night but to resume his last album again we wondered if he would do us a bit of Dire Strait, the end was right and it was very very good

I have never been to a concert. Thus I should get a yocash prize. ;)

Just kidding.

But my mom, while I was still in the womb went to a concert so I guess that counts?

I don't remember who she saw. But it was about 2 months before I was born. She told me this story a couple times. How she tried to dance, and how she kept bumping in to people on accident due to how big I was. :haha: Ect. but she told me it was fun. Even when she was in the car for 3 hours in the back seat of a F150 1998 Cab and a half truck.
Singing to Bon Jovi, Queen and more.

So I was 16 and it was my very first concert. I loved Bryan Adams and so did my neighbor so she told me to buy my ticket and we would go together and last minuet she told me she wasn't going. I was at a loss as she was my ride as we live in Ohio and the concert was in West Virginia. Luckily my uncles soon to be wife was going along with a cousin and younger sister and they invited me to go with them. I had the best time of my life especially since I ended up front and center stage. It will always be the best concert for me! :D

Going to tell my age now. :D Beatles concert , August 21, 1966. Held at The Busch Stadium in St. Louis. It was the summer before my senior year in high school. Cost $5.00 a ticket. lol yeah I know high prices. Girls screaming so much you could hardly hear the music. My dad had to drive us to and pick us up. Not all teenagers had cars then.

I have been to two really great concerts within the past year... :star: Joe Walsh/Bad Company :star: ...unbelievable performances...neither one of them has lost a beat in the past 30 years....however...I just attended the :star: Goo Goo Dolls :star: concert in Cleveland last weekend and it was incredible  ...they played 23 songs from the beginning when no one new their "Name" right up to their newest album which covers a span of 32 years as a band...John Rzeznik totally connects with the audience throughout the concert and Robby Takak is still a hyperactive bomb on the stage...he never stops moving...no one sat down during the entire concert  ...it was awesome!!!

Oh wow... trying to remember....
Best concert #1 Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars (David Bowie) when I was 17. They were playing in Detroit , MI in a wonderful small theater and we were in the balcony (front row) right over the stage!!!!!! So close you could see their faces and felt like you could almost touch them. It was 1 rockin' show! Loved the costumes and the makeup!!!

#2 Jefferson Starship (after they were Jefferson Airplane) with Grace Slick! Huge auditorium in Detroit , MI. What is funny is their psychedelic backdrop looked like a clear glass pyrex dish with colored jello wiggling back and forth sitting on a projector! hahahahha!

#3 My brain is so fried.... I forgot about #3!!! Jethro Tull!! I remember him playing his flute, standing on 1 leg dancing around.. looked like a big elf in some ways. Heard him in Detroit, MI

I was so lucky, so many bands came through Detroit...tickets were like $7 for most! Unbelievable...whew...

I know there were so many more bands that I saw that came through Michigan but that was a long time ago,.... :haha: :haha: :haha: :haha: :haha: :haha: :haha: :haha: :haha: :haha: :haha: :haha: :haha:

1970 Isle of Wight Music festival, the last big venue Jimi Hendrix played. Not to mention all the other bands, The Doors, The Who, Jethro Tull, The Moody Blues, Emerson Lake and Palmer, Ten Years After, Joni Mitchell, Joan Baez, Leonard Cohen....on and on and on. So many of the greats that are now gone. It was still the heydays of peace and love and people were there that had been at Woodstock. It was crowded, crazy, massive lack of facilities, but we gave it all up for the music. Magical times.

I've been to many concerts but my most memorable one was The Mrs. Carter World Tour. Beyoncé is my favorite artist. The concert was here in Puerto Rico. I remembered when the show started I was screaming like a crazy fan girl with my friends, they were laughing but I didn't care I was really excited. I danced all night and sing all of her songs. When the concert finished I was walking to my car and saw this black car with the windows all black I kept staring at that car suddenly inside the car I saw a light I got a little closer to see better who was inside and guess what... it was Beyoncé!!! I was in shock I couldn't even move my friend saw me and ask me what happened I told him that I saw her in one of those car! I really wanted to take a picture but I froze!! I'm never gonna forget about that day!! And that's the best experience and memorable concert experience eveeeeeeeeeerrrr!!! :D

In the 80s I hung out at First Avenue (Then called Sam's Club) with a little known singer known as Prince. We all knew he was filming Purple Rain in the area, and there was a rumor that he was going to have an impromptu concert....so a couple friends and I headed downtown to see what was happening. We usually arrived at Sam's early so we could have this great table right on the dance floor, and tonight was no different. We happily danced the night away, forgetting that Prince might show up. Well, it was last call and the lights came on. But someone came over the mic and said to stick around for a great surprise. So we stuck around for about an hour, then all of a sudden Prince was on stage with the Revolution. He told us that they were going to be filming a sequence for Purple Rain (the movie) so a couple of the managers came around to select some of us to dance… They picked everyone at our table! We weren't sure they would actually use the scenes in the movie, but we danced to Purple Rain about 15 times before they called it a wrap! When the movie came out, we were all invited to a special screening at Sam's. I spotted my leg and one of my arms in the scene 3 times - my face didn't get in the movie, but the guy I was dancing with did...It was a night to remember!!!

When I was thirteen, I fell in love with the music of a band named Cold. As the years went, there were many tragedies and many blessings. My entire life it seemed as if the singer of the band was singing the theme music to my life. I moved away from home left my family hundred of miles away and started over with the woman I married. In the fall of 2010 my wife informed me that the band that has driven my daily life was going on tour for the first time since their breakup. She scored us tickets and we went. And there I was four feet from the poet that taught me how to deal with all my pain and appreciate all the things I love in life with the woman I love wrapped in my arms as he serenaded not just mine but the hearts and minds of a few hundred people. It was not explosions, or distractions, just music. In its base and simple form, love and death, joy and sorrow. It was one of the greatest moments of my life and shall remain with me forever. Because as the song says, "Won't you let me take you for a ride, you can stop the world, try and change my mind. Won't you let me show you how it feels, you can stop the world , but you wont change me I need music, I need music, I need music. To set me free and to let me bleed."

My best concert that I have been too was back in 2015 when I actually got to meet one of the
UK's biggest "grime" artist called stormzy and I also posed for a pic at the O2 arena in London the capital of u. K
They was other good artist like skepta also well known for his rap music the crowds where all jumping like cave men discovering music for the first time. I went with 3 of my friends we travelled 108 miles to watch it when I could of waited 4 weeks as they came into a city and preformed much closer to home but me and my friends also drove the distance and met a few good friends to this day along the way we stayed at a hotel that was literally opisite to the O2 arena in london
I watched it all about 30 meters from the stage also they was throwing out t shirts and the crowd was all going crazy for these bbk t shirts
We left early that morning at 2am and we found a bar a few roads down and we stayed in their with a few friends we have only met up with and ending up going home when the pub closed down if I could post a picture I would but don't know if I can?
Hope you enjoyed my story and thank you for a chance to win this amazing prize

In 1983, I went to a Willie Nelson 4th of July Picnic Concert. It really was great. It was in Hampton Ga, at the Atlanta Race track. We arrived at the line (around 5 AM), and moved our things up to the gate, as the line progressed, till we got in the gate. By the time we got in, the inside of the race track was crowded. We packed our own cooler. But was not prepared for the reality of being in the heat all day. It was in the high 90's. The ends of my fingertips, were sunburned. But we got to see Willie, Hank Jr, Merle Haggard, David Allen Coe, Waylen Jennings, Stray Cats. Linda Ronstadt was supposed to be there, but she was a no show. David Allen Coe para-glided from a plane, to the stage. It was awesome. Some lady had brought a blow up kiddie swimming pool, people used their cooler water to fill it and keep it cool. It was used for anyone that was having problems with the heat. Around 300,000 people attended that picnic. And i was glad I was one of them. I was glad to see the people sing, but I was glad of the really nice people we had the pleasure of sharing space with.
