He asked the crowd "Who wants to be my girlfriend?" and guys and girls alike were screaming "Me". I loved this show so much that I saw it a second time when he passed back through the DC area.

wow & yes Prince was Amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!! ,saw him 2xs , once when he toured TX in the late 80;s then once in the 90s i think..TX..WOW is all i can say, oh & i had great seats both times!!! & was heartbroken at his passing!I STILL watch Purple rain movie! <3 glad you got to see him! <3

Columbus, Ohio hosts ROCK ON THE RANGE every year! Guns and Roses! Incubus! Avenged Sevenfold! Those are just a few head liners. Every year is amazing! The ultimate was being on the side of the stage while Slash played the beginning to Sweet Child of Mine. It went through my soul!

:bye: Hi Viking Jess! I don't post here often but have to tell you about my best concert ever! I saw The Beatles on their FIRST American tour in Atlantic City, NJ. The date was 1964; I was 14 years old. My two friends and I were original Beatlemaniacs; wewere lucky enough to touch their limo as they rode into Convention Hall. Also on the stage were the Righteous Brothers and Jackie DeShannon - 53 years and many, many concerts later... it is still one of my really amazing memories!

My first and only concert (yet) was actually a symphony, The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses to be exact. I bought the tickets on a whim for my boyfriend and I, because I knew that he loves the series, and has grown up playing the video games. He also introduced me to Ocarina of Time, and I thoroughly enjoyed it, even more so because the person I love wanted to share something he holds so dear to himself. After a fancy dinner, we went to the venue, dressed to the 9's, and held hands as the orchestra played all the memorable soundtracks. It was beautiful to me, but to him, it was so much more than that, it was his childhood. I noticed him silently crying. I am so happy to have shared this experience with him.

In 1964 The Beatles came to Detroit, Michigan and being a Beatlemaniac, of course I went to see them! They played at the Olympia stadium which was the home of the Redwings. It's hard to believe, but I paid $3.00 for my ticket. I could not afford the main floor tickets, which I believe were $7.50. Being up in the nosebleed section did not deter me from 'dying' over those wonderful songs, but I have to admit, they looked more like ants than beatles. LOL It was the highlight of my youth !! Now y'all know how old I am - proving you're never to old to play Yoworld.

Ok, I've been fortunate to have gone to many concerts. Self described concert addict right here!

My favorite of all time was when i first saw my favorite band, 3 Doors Down, for the first time. The bands Staind and Breaking Benjamin opened for them. My friends and I got there really early so that we could be right up by the stage, as it was all general admission. Well worth the extra effort!. Staind was up first, singer Aaron Lewis blew away with crowd with his amazing, soulful vocals with the guitars and drums pounding behind him. Amazing! I hadn't heard much of Breaking Benjamin before this concert, maybe one or two songs. Since we were so close to the stage, it meant we were also right next to the speakers too! BB was sooo loud, maybe it wasn't great tuning before hand, but I couldn't hear much of what they were saying. I wasn't much a fan of theirs till I started listening to their songs afterwards and became a huge fan of theirs too and have since seen them in concert several times now too.

After a short stage change and intermission, my boys took the stage! 3 DOORS DOWN! I'm not sure what it is about this band. Maybe it's lead singer Brad's humbleness or the southern twang in their voices or just that they are guys who you can genuinely see they are having fun up on stage. The crowd was getting so into the songs like 'Kryptonite' and 'Duck and Run' and many many others. Song after song i was pumping my fist in the air, jamming to the songs and singing along with every word...as was every other person in the arena! Somewhere in the middle the band threw out guitar picks to the crowd and we ended up getting one. Such a great concert and band! I've seen them several times since and will always go back again.

Would love to see Lynyrd Skynyrd too as i'm named after them ;)

This little concert theme helps me to go back and remind myself of all the great memories I've had with friends at these concerts! Great job bvg!

:smug: My favorite concert was 2 yrs ago at the State Fair. My FAVORITE group Def Leppard was performing along with Styx and Tesla. I went w/my oldest bro (whom got me into them back when I was 11) and my 2 kids , sister, niece and nephew. I have been trying for years to get my brother to go w/me and FINALLY he was able to. I wanted the person who got me started on liking this awesome, and incredible group have the chance to see them live instead of just hearing them on the radio or cd's. He had a blast and so did the rest of us. What's funny is today on my Facebook "On This Day" our videos and pics of the concert showed up lol. So yea it was exactly 2 yrs ago today (Aug. 15th).

One of my greatest concert experiences that I have had was when I went to go see Kiss at Chicago Open Air in Toyota Park, Illinois. I have been into Kiss since 2007, ever since I was a freshman in high school. I had never gone to a concert of theirs before. There was always something going on or I never could afford it. I almost didn't go this year, because I couldn't get a ride out there. So one night I was out with one of my friends at Tilted Kilt the previous night before the show. I asked him if he wanted to drive and I'd pay for his ticket. He agreed even though he didn't know anything about Kiss or any of the other bands playing that day. I think it was nice for him to get a first concert experience in his life. I had gone to concerts before, but this one was the one that I have been looking forward to the most. The journey to the concert made me feel like as if I was in the movie Detroit Rock City. At the concert there were many other bands playing. I enjoyed as many as I could like Antrhax, Megadeth, Suicide Silence, Falling In Reverse, Meshuggah, Rob Zombie. I was able to capture a lot of photos and videos. So when Kiss played that night, I was extremely excited, it felt totally unreal. It was a dream of mines to see them live during my lifetime and while the current members were still alive. The concert had everything you could ever ask for in the show, loud music, pyrotechnics, fire breathing, insane zip lining stunts, levitating drums, massive amounts of lights, and sooo much more. I was so happy and was lucky enough to make my way to the 4th row to see them closer. Every song that they played was amazing and took me through a great music trip. It was basically the best time of my life. I am so grateful that I had the privilege to go.

Going to Muse in the 02 last year. Having not seen them before I screamed a bit to be honest, and good old Bellamy played his electric guitar to the tone of my scream, not once but 3 times. Never felt so at one... Amazing!!

Oh wow I've just remembered another awesome Concert. Bon Jovi, think it was 1996 at Milton Keynes Bowl. The concert as per usual, as seen them 3 times was outstandingly awesome. After the concert we got lost getting back to our car, when I spotted a cavalcade of blacked out cars. Instinct kicked and and I dragged my friend as quickly as I could and we found ourselves at a helicopter pad. Then you see the boys get out of their cars. In ore we forget it is a helicopter pad and this very powerful helicopter started up. Too busy waving and screaming the boys get into their ride. The Helicopter just got more powerful and in the end we ended up hanging on for dear life to the fence, so not to be blown away, pardon the pun lol. As they took off, we got blown into the trees. Best cuts n bruises I ever had. Man that was a good night...

The Best Concert ever was my first concert. It was Against The Current in Manila City. Being a province girl as I am, that was a big deal. Being so far away from the city and the concerts, and knowing that the people you idolize is right there, in the same country as you, and you can't reach them, is simply heartbreaking.

Don't get me started with the ticket entrance and the expenses for the food, stay and transportation you have to take.

So, that first concert of me seeing my favorite band, was simply an amazing experience. I do not fangirl much, but heck, that night, I fangirl-ed so hard that I didn't care that I was all alone in the VIP area (which, by the way, something I worked so hard to earn money to save it and buy it for that VIP Tix), by that time, I felt at one with all my fellow fans. That night, we didn't care if we didn't know the one beside us. We were a family. Just like how Chrissy Costanza (the lead singer) wanted us to be.

The VIP ticket also gave us a chance to meet and greet (see what i did there?) our idols! I was so embarassed to give them my gift (which was a picture I edited) when I saw all the teddy bears and bouquet behind them. But nevermind. I had a chance to hug them and take a picture of them. That was the only thing I needed.

So yes. That night, I felt like I belonged with everything - the music, the people, and even the instruments. That feeling they made me feel when they sing their songs made me feel so alive that I will cherish that night forever.

P.S. if you haven't heard of them, look them up. They deserve more people to acknowledge their art. :rose:
