My mother was here for 93 years,
Her eyes twinkled blue, for all the love she had for you.
Although she fought hard, as Alzhiemers claimed her,
She never had a harsh word or complaint to anyone.
We loved her so much, words can't describe
How lovingly and caring she was in our lives.
Now she is in heaven,
A perfect place for our angel.
I only hope I can be half as good, as my mom, also known as Nana.
As she watches over us, I will look for a sign from her, and wait for a hand up.

My little one with eyes so round
So full of love that knows no bounds
Looking at the world you see
A cat, a light, a bird and me
And with your eyes you make it clear
That I am very, very dear
Words of my beauty would not be lies
If only the world saw through your eyes

I know this isn't a poem, it is more an open letter to my mom.

Mom

I think of Alzheimers as a slow death. A disease that should never hit any family because the illness affects not just the patient, but the entire family.
I am grateful that I was able to have you live with us most of your last year and a half.
But then for your last month, the illness had progressed to the point that Tony and I couldn't care for you on our own. I was forced to put you in an Alzheimers unit, under pressure from family, your doctor and mine.
I cried every day you were in the unit, and I've cried almost every day since, because I broke a deathbed promise to dad that I would never make you live in a nursing home and because I feel I let you and dad down.
Now I pray that you and dad know I did the best I could, That I loved you with all my heart, and beg your forgiveness, because it is something I'll cry for deep in my heart until the day I die and hopefully see you again.
You and dad were the best.
Love you forever.

A Mother's Love

I carried you for nine months long
You are my joy, you are my song
You bring me what no other can
And those special moments when you take my hand
I watched you grow into the woman you are
My love for you is never far
I'm in your thoughts and in your heart
For those times we are apart
And now your becoming a mother yourself
I only hope I've taught you what there is to know
As inside you, your little one grows
I have no fear that you will know
A mothers love is a phone call away
As my love grows stronger every day
I am a mother and I am proud
As mother's are ones above the crowd
A mother's love is strong and true
I'm a proud mom and I will always love you...xo

Mothers come in many styles;
Some are gruff; some have smiles.
Some will hug you in loving arms;
Others won't fall for your wily charms.
Some guide you every minute of the day;
Others tell you to go outside and play.
When there’s homework you must do,
Some help while others say it’s up to you.
Some will give you lots of chores
Other might only want clothes put in drawers.
Some bake cookies for you to eat;
Some order pizza; it’s quite a treat.
Mothers grow older, but children don’t see.
They’re busy trying to leave and be free.
When the children are grown and gone
A Mother’s love will still live on.
Cherish your Mother while you may;
When she dies it’s a sad, sad day.

The Hands of a Mother
The hands of a mother
Take you to adventure
Give you confidence
Until arriving at the Moon
They do not let go although they know
You are on the right track
They hold you until they see
That you arrived at your destination
Get the claws of death
Just to defend you
Save you from a big bear
And a strong current
With them they give you food
They caress you and sleep you
They punish you with love
To be stronger
The hands of a mother
They are a surprise
They are hands that do not get tired
To do good every day
Because you know someday
They will not be able to hold you ....
Oh beautiful mother's hands
Today I would give my life
To receive again
All those beautiful caresses
I'll only get it
In the Hands of my Mother.

A Mothers Love

A Mother's Love is Endless
It is Pure and Strong
A Mother will always protect you from any harm

Her embrace is full of security
Her Kiss is gentle and sweet
Her Patience is endless because of the Love from her children
Her voice is full Of Love

She never stops caring or her children
No matter what happens...

Walking yostreets to the Coffee shop, Salon and Vinny's diner,
Or maybe to the realtor to pick a new yocrib and then design 'er.
Seeing yofriends out while shopping for yofurniture and yofashion,
or doing yo jobs over at the yofactory, earning yocoins to be a cashin'.
Now I love Yoliving, shopping, chats, gossip and drama,
But nothing fills my yoheart or compares to my YoMomma

Mother Earth...
Mothers who give Birth

Mothers who are Male
Mothers who are frail

Mothers who Adopt
With LOVE, that never stops

Barren woman who are Mothers'
Their love is like none others.

What does a Mother do,
Express Love, to me & you!

Unconditionally, Eternally, Lovingly
Gentle & strong, Love, Let it Be. <3

Mama
Eternal bond
After all these years
Crossing phases of
Worship, rebellion, acceptance
Mistakes, successes,
Gaines, losses
You are constant
Throughout the progress
Of my steps through life.
I speak now, and I cannot see
Or hear who it is, you or me.

My poem, written by me....A MOTHER'S TEARS

My mother's tears were never ending.
From my conception,
as she watched me grow,
with no exceptions, her tears did flow.
She did her best to make me strong.
When I left her nest, she prayed things didn't go wrong.
Her tears slid gently down her face.
Tears of wonder
Tears of sadness
Tears of happiness too.
Tears of wonder when she heard me take my first breath.
Tears of sadness when she watched me leave her nest.
Knowing she gave me her very best,
brings to her eyes the happiness.
Now she's in heaven,
Nothing can take her place.
Looking up, a light rain is hitting my face.
Each droplet from above.
her tears, her love.
As that love is softly hitting my face,
I find my own tears are taking its place.

Mothers are so special,
Mothers are so sweet
Mother means the world to me in my every heartbeat.
She is a great example
Of how the world should see
My every thoughts and feelings are so true to me.
She's there when we need her
She's always in our thoughts.
She's a shining bright light around us
Darkness, she is not.
She makes us feel adored and precious
Cherished, loved, and treasured.
You will never find a love,
that of which can be measured.
So keep her close to your heart,
Make her happy and proud,
You will not find a more perfect Mom,
Make sure you shout out loud.
I love you Mom, or Mother, or Mommy,
whoever she may be.
Just show her how extraordinary
Your life has come to be.
She never falters
She never stops
She'll always love you
And think you're the tops.

Mother is a women I know. So filled with beauty and love abound. Always there when I was down. Taught me how this world goes around. Dark and light she was always there. Nightly she is my prayers. Mother dear I miss you so. I wish I still had you so you could see how I am grown. A grandmother now her example I follow. Hold my head high no matter the sorrow. I see my grandchild and I know. My mother is the women I am now. Her memory lives on in the smiles of my now my own. I see her example as they grow. My word echo oh so familiar. Hold your head high and do your best.Don't forget that fresh dress.Wear a hat and freshen your face. Smile ,walk tall and be your best. God will show the all the rest. At times there is sorrow but this will pass.Look to the sky and see the light. Remember your father and I did our best. Wash your hands and be a lady. Wear a hat to church and that fresh dress. Bow your head and be grateful for the what you have. The worlds goes by fast and then you will rest. I will meet you all at the golden gate. Along with your family that now rest. Do not be sad when this time comes because your mother knows that world now. Now see your loved ones and say I love you. Show them how you love them so. The time will come when they walk in your shoes. Teach them how this world goes around. Times has changed but the rules still apply. Mothers live on in so many ways.Always remember her on Mothers day!

If I could turn back time
Id go back to when you were mommy
and I was just a kid
to simpler days
and happy times
Id sit on your lap once more
and tell you how much I love you
I wish I could turn back time

Happy Mothers Day to you up in Heaven Mom Love you and miss you

My Mom

When I was very little, she was my world.
I'd wake up in the morning and toddle out to the living room.
She'd be sitting in a rocking chair, reading a book.
When I crawled into her lap, she'd wrap her arms around me
And I'd be safe.

After I started school, my world expanded.
But she was always there when I came home,
With milk and cookies or apples, a snack .
Making yummy meals and snacks was part of her love
And I was loved.

When I was hurt in my body or in my spirit,
She was right there, with Bandaids and mercurochrome,
Painting my wounds red and soothing my sorrows.
She always seemed to know what to say.
And I was healed.

I grew older, thinking I was so cool,
In college and learning much that she never knew.
She started to seem smaller from my lofty height.
I thought I was smarter and wiser than she was.
And I was wrong.

Growing older still, I began to observe
That what she said was often annoyingly right.
My condescension disappeared and over time
We became friends as well as family
And I could talk to her.

Then one day she was gone and I had not finished our talks.
I lived so far away and she had been so alone.
I felt guilty for finding my place in this life without her.
But I knew she'd never blame me. She loved me.
And I cried.

When I was young, She held my hand,
She helped me cross the street,
She gave me baths, She washed my hair,
She made me good things to eat.

As I grew, she gave advice,
She held me when I cried,
She dried my tears, She calmed my fears,
She stayed right by my side.

A grown up now, I pass on
The lessons that she taught,
Things like honesty, respect, and kindness,
Should never be forgot.

When she grew old, I held her hand,
I helped her cross the street,
I gave her baths, I washed her hair,
I made her good things to eat.

Now she's gone, my precious mother,
Yet I see her in my face,
The love she gave, The bond we shared,
Can never be replaced.

I hold my children by the hand,
I help them cross the street,
I give them baths, I wash their hair,
I make them good things to eat...

For Mother

No earthly creature could possibly take your place.
That special place inside
etched with tender loving care and pride
belongs to no other than to the face I've memorized
from the day I first opened my eyes.
