When I was young, She held my hand,
She helped me cross the street,
She gave me baths, She washed my hair,
She made me good things to eat.
As I grew, she gave advice,
She held me when I cried,
She dried my tears, She calmed my fears,
She stayed right by my side.
A grown up now, I pass on
The lessons that she taught,
Things like honesty, respect, and kindness,
Should never be forgot.
When she grew old, I held her hand,
I helped her cross the street,
I gave her baths, I washed her hair,
I made her good things to eat.
Now she's gone, my precious mother,
Yet I see her in my face,
The love she gave, The bond we shared,
Can never be replaced.
I hold my children by the hand,
I help them cross the street,
I give them baths, I wash their hair,
I make them good things to eat...
