I would like to nominate YoWorld Over Thirty (originally YoVille Over Thirty).
The reason I am nominating this group (besides the fact that I am one of the proud members ) is because YoWorld Over Thirty - or YOT for short, is one of the very first groups to be created in the game. The group was created in 2008 by our very own Mudpup YOT (aka Joan). Her reasons are as follows:
"Early days in Yoville in June 2008, Mudpup Yot determined that a group was needed for those in the 30 and over age bracket. Since our cartoons are ageless there needed to be way for those of us to easily identify each other. Adding YOT to our Yo name serves that purpose."
It didn't take long for the group to grow to over 2000 members strong! Right now it stands at about 1105 with many of the original members still included.

This very cool banner for the group was created by Mr C YOT aka Bas (who is also one of the administrators). He is a very kind man and one of the most creative in the group. His room creations are excellent!


In the early days the group would get together and have loads of fun. We would celebrate birthdays and we even had a large Yo wedding! Members were from all over the world and would meet up at least once a week to chat and spend time together.
And here is the REALLY cool part! Some of the YOTS even made plans to meet up in real life!! In fact, there were two YOT meetings in London, England - one in 2009 and one in 2010. There were also two YOT meetings in Vancouver, Canada - one in 2009 and one in 2011. There was an average of about thirty that would show up each time.

I was VERY excited to get to attend the YOT get together in London in 2009 and the Vancouver YOT get together in 2011. Had I never played the game and became a YOT, I would have never traveled to either of those places (and I live in the United States). Many of the YOTS even met up in smaller groups of two, or three or four at various places and times over the years. I did a couple of these mini get togethers myself, getting to meet one YOT in Oklahoma and another in New York. It's always so exciting to meet one of your fellow YoWorld players in real life. Now that is a special friendship indeed!

Check out this very cool picture from my 2011 Vancouver trip. The host, Lib YOT, aka Libby (who is one of the administrators of the YoWorld Over Thirty group as well) made little cards to attach on glasses of everyone's avi who attended. I got to meet Libby twice (first time was in London and again at this Canada get together). Very sweet and kind lady. I also got to meet the group's creator, Mudpup at this one, and she's such a kind lady.


During the time the game was going to be shut down by Zynga, many of the YOTS came out to show their support for the game and were part of the rallies to save it.


And we celebrated when the game was saved - thank you BVG!!!


Many of the YOTS are really busy with life and can't play as much as they would like to but are still very proud YOTS and still have very close friendships with each other. I have made so many valuable friendships thanks to this wonderful group. Next year it will be 10 years strong! So I felt it fitting to nominate YoWorld Over Thirty. Thank you!

I'd like to nominate Ash (142515693), my best friend.

She's such a loving, caring person and has helped me so much over the past year! From gifting items I never thought I'd find, to being an open ear or a shoulder to cry on. She doesn't post much outside of Trading, but she's a lovely person and deserves the world.

I’d like to nominate my mom, Cocacolapeachgirl. She is a kind, generous, giving person. Do you lknow that she created a yoworld group for people who have Autism or those who want to show support? Do you also know that many years ago she had a gifting group called YEGS? She’d give anonymously to peoples who barely knew her yocash, gifts, etc,. She even surprised a few formers on here too. She’s an active wishlist angel and has a big heart! I’m proud to call her my mom, because she helped my autism change through introducing me to yoville. Without her, I’m nothing.

I'd like to nominate the YoWorld Fun Rush team.

There are a lot of strong Facebook giveaway teams, but never have I seen one with the bond that my team have developed I created YFR back in 2010, with our joint owner Liam joining us in 2012, and being dedicated ever since!

Our team look out and support each other to help players of all kinds, rich and poor, to win amazing prizes, share interesting YoPosts, and most of all, to have fun! We now have nearly 20 admins taking on various roles, from contests, to creating our graphics, to our new trade center and auction hosts that we hope to get running shortly.

We have previously held themed weeks where we host in game and page activities, including our annual noob appreciation week, and also an Autism awareness week.

We're always looking for ways to improve and do more for the YoFans that we have gained over the years, which leads me to the last part of YFR....our amazing fans <3 without you, we wouldn't be getting the sense of achievement that we know and love

I would like to nominate Loie. She creates these amazing rooms and stories to go along with them and posts them on the forum for others to enjoy. They almost always make me laugh and who doesn't need a good laugh?

She is also one of the most amazing people I have ever met. She is always helping others find things that they're looking for. She encourages others to not give up on the game and to find the fun of Yo again. She's is always there to listen when you're having a rough time and she gives great advice when you're trying to make a room or outfit look just perfect and can't figure out what's off about it.

In real life, she's also amazing. She's always there to listen and cares so much. She's got a quirky sense of humor that can always make me smile, even when I'm in a non smiling mood. I've been dealing with health issues for a few years and Loie has always been there to check on me, make sure I'm still kicking, to give me encouragement, and to let me know that I'm loved. She always asks about my kids, my grandbabies, my Shadow (my dog). Everyone should be so lucky to have someone like Loie in their lives and I feel so blessed to have her in mine.
