Horrible Nightmares theme. Instead of all the normal rooms in a home each room can be based off of a Nightmare. We get plenty of kitchens, living rooms, and bathrooms it would be refreshing to just let a theme be a theme without having to implement things for each certain room. I want to see unique items not the average things. I want to see lots of shadowy people, trees, and ghosts. Things we might see in our nightmares. I might of over did it with pictures but I still feel like its not enough. I had to force myself to stop sorry.
I want to say I would still very much love to see a theme nodding at horror movies. I mean that is Halloween to me and has been since I was a kid. Horror movies are represented in so many other games and you guys have gave us a few items already. I wish you guys would just give us a kick azz horror fest theme. I almost suggested it but figured it would be a waste of time.


The house could be dream like with a glow and besides the normal rooms each room is another nightmare.

Another Realm of Shadows redux. Land of the King Undying! The "house" would be the royal castle! So outside/approach, throne room, Great Hall/dining room, Royal bedchambers, Study/conference/work/ritual room and maybe dungeon/torture chamber? (They are dead they don't need a kitchen or bathroom anymore. They do rest though to conserve their energies. It's more like torpor.) We could also have costumes that are the disguise spells the Undead King and Queen use to seem alive too! You could add a bit more blue and get rid of the teal and make it turquoise!

I'll list which images should be part of the poll, probably going to include more to fully get the idea across for the artists though!

Outside (You could give us skulls, ravens, skeletal creatures, oddly glowing evil looking plants etc. Even evilly glowing jack-o-lanterns!)

Decos these could easily be made to fit the theme color scheme! Some of these are meant for the castle approach/outside. I do not expect this exact thing, but something along these lines? No luck finding a long conference/war council table though! I'd expect the foot ends to be skulls and the legs to be made of thigh bones though. The top may be carved white wood with eldritch symbols on it. Or have skulls where the legs join the table?

Obviously not magenta/purple! Maybe have the tips be an angry vermilion (so more orange in the tint than a scarlet would have) red? I'd have this coming out of the skeleton above instead of the dessicated flower myself! More evil looking imo.

I am going to suggest this theme even though I know it will probably be for nothing. If ever there was a dream theme for me this would be it. Halloween is more than dressing up, trick or treating, decorations. For me its about the horror movies as well and has been a part of my Halloween since being a kid. You guys have gave us some items here and there to represent some classic characters but I would love to see more in game.
I would love to have a Horror fest type theme. No normal rooms of the living room, bathroom, blah blah blah.... I want to see a theme something like the old Hollywood horror theme but upgraded. I want to be able to create unique rooms to represent some of my favorite classics. There is so many ways you guys could give us this. There is plenty of items and things you could do to help represent many of these classics.
I had to at least post something on it even if it is for nothing. A girl can dream!

Exactly! I have been trying to do some rooms as well but there is just some items you need and the more the merrier I say. We need Michael and so many others as well. I would be so excited for a theme like this. I just could not suggest it I had to!

A third Realm of Shadows redux! Tomb of the Ancients! (It's a semi-desert setting. Death cultists have taken over the tomb.) It would have the outside, ante chamber, various burial chambers, a ritual chamber, and main burial chamber. (For the most important member of the group.) Furniture would be statues, benches, alters, sarcophagi, etc.

This is subtle, you might have to darken the scars/marks to make them show up! Not sure how you'd do the bloodshot eyes though.

I'd like to offer some advice. It's about as worthless as anyone's, but it will make me feel better knowing that I at least told you guys how this works.

Making Halloween content is unlike other stuff. It doesn't need a theme. It doesn't need a fancy name. It doesn't even have to be cohesive with other items. But what it does need to do with every single item is capture the spirit of Halloween. IKR? What the f*ck does that mean you moron? LOL

Here's a few examples.

The point is that anything and everything should feel like Halloween for whatever themes you guys decide on. Every item should have something to its design that speaks to Halloween. Webs, lightning bolts, fangs, bat wings, blood, gothic shapes, scary eyes, claws, bones, etc etc etc..........this list is endless, but it does require creativity. And there is no limit to the knick knack items you can do. The interactives could be stunning. I can make a list of 20 interactives in about 20 minutes. Things that swallow/grab/jump out/transform/scream/rip apart/etc are great interactives. Trap doors, blades, flickering, lightning, glowing, etc etc are all aesthetics to making great content.

And I hope you've learned your lesson about coloring, so no teal. Ever. If you need help, stick to BLACK, WHITE, SILVER, GRAY, & then DEEP RED, DEEP PURPLE, DEEP GREEN, and of course DEEP ORANGE.

And you might want to ask players for items they'd like to see instead of themes. You can make an entire Halloween "theme" of mismatched items. You can simply call it "Halloween 2021" and throw out the most awesome stuff ever - because you won't be restrained by some boxy theme constraint. Make it spooky! Make it fun! Make it awesome!
