My concert memories of when I went to a Juanes concert. Since he was not coming to my area I did not really want to go but my mom convinced me to go and went with me (she never listened to his music as he sings in a different language). So we traveled there and when we arrived I heard they were giving out refunds because the singer did not come. (Oh no all the way out here and I wont get to see my singer!) Luckily it was the side show so (Hooray!!) It was a super small venue so super cozy and close. The seats I got where super close I loved it!!! The singer was super friendly and great! At the end he was giving out guitar picks (I want one  ) He made eye contact ( ) threw the pick towards me (Yes! Yes! Yes!) the pick cruises off the stage and zooomp falls in the row before mine. Take 2 repeat. Take 3 yup again in the first row. So I did not get the guitar pick but had a good time. The music was great and I ended up taking home the set list (score).

The best concert ever for me was seeing Journey back in the mid 80s. This was Steve Perry at his all time best! They played all of their hits and then some. Loverboy was the warm up band and they were awesome, as well. Fun night of concert memories with some great friends!

I only went to one concert in my life.... KISS. I didn't know what to expect, but once i was there, it was epic. The sound, the lights, the smoke, the smell. In 2000, the Kiss Farewell Tour, at the Bell Center in Ottawa, Ontario. I was sitting (that is if i ever did sit) at the third row on the floor, so Kiss was right in front, i could even feel the heat from the fire that came out of the stage! Ace would pitch out his guitar pick, and i got one of them. Boy was i excited. All the way of the concert, my hand up in the air and waving all evening, my face hurt from smiling so much. It was the best concert one can ever imagine! All those years, and i still remember as if it was yesterday!

My very first concert. It was the summer of 1983. The place, New Orleans City Park. A group of my high school friends with our big hair and cut up jeans (chaperoned by a couple of amazingly cool parents) made our way onto the crowded field to witness the music trifecta event: Journey, Bryan Adams and Zebra. Now, if you have never been to New Orleans, let me tell you, summers there are brutal. Between the temp, the humidity, and the over-excited and super-intoxicated crowd, it was hotter than fish grease. But, that did not deter us. No, we made our way as close to the stage as we could and anxiously awaited that moment when our teenage hearts would explode with jubilee at the mere sight of Steve Perry onstage.

The first act to perform that day was a local favorite, Zebra (I mean how could any 80’s girl not love Randy Jackson’s spiral curls?) After they rocked our tender minds with “Who’s Behind the Door” and “Tell Me What You Want,” that super smexi (and very young) Bryan Adams took the stage (wearing some mighty tight jeans I might add). My teenage heart melted when he sang “Straight From the Heart.” (I know he was singing it just for me!!) and then “Cut’s Like a Knife.” Once we were all worked up, clothes wet and hair flattened to our skulls from sweat, came the moment we had all been waiting for: JOURNEY!!!!!!!

When Steve Perry appeared, the screams that ensured were deafening but quickly drown out by the first song of the set: “Lovin’ Touchin’ Squeezin’.” It was magic!!! Journey played so many of their hits ("Lights," "Any Way You Want It" etc.) and we, as well as the other thousands in attendance, sang along without missing a beat. At one point, we each took turns having to make our way to the dreaded Port-a-Potty but trust me when I say, we held it as long as we could because we did not want to miss a second of the show (thank God for the giant video screens). By the time the concert was over, we were exhausted, probably dehydrated, and very hoarse. Best day/evening EVER!

Well I've only been to one concert so I guess it is the best. It was one in the free concert series in 1999 here in Maryland. The groups where Kansas and ELP (Emerson Lake and Palmer.).Great music from what I can remember. You see, someone gave me a smoke that ended up having more than tobacco in it. Needless to say I got a bit rambunctious. I don't remember much but my best friend who went with me wouldn't let me live it down. Something about serenading a police officer. Those were the days, fun times.

My favorite concert was when I took my MOM to her very FIRST concert! I took her to see Reba McEntire, her favorite country singer. I had more fun watching my mom's reactions than I did listening to Reba! :D

Just post your concert memories in the thread below before Monday, August 21st at 11:59am EDT. After the deadline, we'll choose 20 YoFans with concert stories, and the winners will receive 20 YoCash each!

So, YoFans... What was the best concert that you've ever been to?

EDIT 3 entries in at the time of this edit and I'm already SO ENVIOUS OF YOU GUYS :dizzy:

The biggest event in my life was going to Branson to see George Jones. I was so excited to see the " Possum" and really hyped up about it. It was 1981 I believe. I went to Silver Dollar City, Eureka Springs and the big finale was George Jones. I love the Possum's ballads and still do. So all goes according to my plan until the evening of the concert. The evening began with a steak dinner then the 9pm concert . We walk in and the Statler Brothers opened and they kicked butt ! ( you must be pretty old to know who the Statler Brothers are haha) . Then stage gets quite and they say something like " And now ladies and gents we would like to give a BIG WELCOME to the one, the only, the legendary , George Jones, the Possum himself! So we waited like 10 minutes and the host on stage is telling bad jokes whilst waiting. The Possum comes stumbling out dragging his guitar and is so drunk that he literally falls down when he tries to sit on the stool. He couldnt even be heard trying to stutter through his first song. It was horrible. We finally got refunded for our tickets about 3 months later. Haha . I have seen so many concerts both country and rock and this is the concert that stand most out when I think of them. I understand he got his life in order later and I am still a fan of the late great possum himself

My favorite concert I have been to was upchurch. He isn't extremely well known yet, but he is very caring of his fans. His music was awesome and he was throwing things out into the crowd for his fans to keep. He threw a watch to me, but it hit my leg and this other girl pushed me away when it hit the floor. lol He came out into the crowd and was being lovingly attacked by other fans right in front of me and he touched my shoulder. It was so much fun and I hope I can go to another concert of his. :D

Best concert ever was when my fiance and I went to The Hideout in Springfield, VA in 2014 (he was the official photographer/interviewer). We got to see Kataklysm, Jungle Rot, Internal Bleeding, March To Victory, Gloom, Morta, Abandon Earth, Silent On Fifth Street, and Dethorned. We were initially there for Suffocation and I got to hang out with Terrance Hobbs, watching him get interviewed and got a photo with him. The best part was getting to see Kataklysm and I didn't even know they were going to be there, so I was super excited! I stood right up front and got full blast. Surprisingly enough, this had been my first concert ever and I was 24. :haha: The icing on the cake was my fiance pulling some strings to get me one of their tour hoodies and a signed cd.

:balloon: My mother passed away in 1999, she was young, but my mom and I went to a Tim Magraw concert in Orlando, It was the best times. and it was several years ago, but I still remember it like it was yesterday, memories like that is what I cherish the most. She knew I was in love with Tim when he first became famous and she made this a treat for me. They made a video of that concert that night to one of his songs so it was pretty exciting. I still to this day love Tim Magraw and he reminds me of his concert I spent with my mom before she passed. Concert was awesome and glad I have that memory of my mother! :rose:  :'(

Thank you for the contest! I was lucky enough to see Blake Shelton at a country music festival! With many friends, and family making the concert even more a success. He really put on a show for everyone! Being in the summertime it was close to my Auntie's birthday, she had the opportunity to go back stage and meet the country stars! What an amazing memory this is for all my family and friends!

This summer I went to a Jason Mraz concert! I sat in row 9, which was the closest seat I've ever had in a concert!
Mraz did such a fantastic job of incorporating all of his band members! They each had their own solos and half the time he was cracking jokes! It was an an incredible show!
He also didn't have any opening acts, so the entire concert was him and his band performing!
The songs were so powerful and moving!

I've also seen Gnash in concert and Mod Sun, but they definitely don't compare to Mraz! Someday I hope to see Mackelmore, too! :D
