Hi YoFans!

This Halloween, we’ve made room for 1 Innovator-Level Outfit and 1 Innovator-Level Hair.

Your Halloween designs do NOT have to match any of our Halloween themes, please just ensure that your designs meet our Costume Guidelines.

Submission Guidelines:

  • Innovator and Apprentice levels are limited to 10 submissions each
  • Contain all your entries inside one forum post inside the correct thread
  • All entries MUST be posted within the forum thread to be considered

Innovator
  • Must include at least one sketch of the asset.
  • Must have either a reference image or description of various materials/textures being used in the design (i.e silk, tweed, flannel, satin).
  • Colour can be represented in the sketch or provided in swatches.
  • Use of colour/swatches should be clearly defined. Unless otherwise specified, in-house artists will use their best judgement for colour choice.

Fine Print
    Variations between submitted designs and the final winning items may occur if your entry is chosen. Our artists may need to adjust your entry, or even re-create your entry from scratch, in order to make the items work in YoWorld. We will do our best to represent the original design while recreating it, however exact replicas are not guaranteed, and minor variations will not be revised. Using a vector image file, avoiding filters and airbrushing, submitting your source files, and ensuring your design does not expand too far outside the confines of the Yo will help minimize variances.
    By posting your design, you acknowledge that you are releasing all rights to your creations, and confirm that they are your own creations. Any violations of this rule will result in a permanent disqualification from future design contests


Note: The Forum Rules of Conduct and Posting Guidelines apply throughout the duration of this contest. Note that we will not tolerate complaints or attacks against any entries, either during the entry period or after the results are announced. Any posts that violate the spirit of this will be dealt with swiftly and permanently.

By submitting Design Contest entries, you are releasing the rights to your created works and providing Big Viking Games with permission to use these designs in the future.

Udin KYI Supernatural Disconnected Undercut Hair
Hair description, its an disconnected undercut type of hair with black, platinuim. brown, blue, berry and polar variation for reguler colors and for the rare it has a double strip in front with a additional animated glowing dragon tattoo on the side of the head.
I include my digital sketches using photoshop for clear detailing, i dont submit in artisan section cause i think im not good enough for that and im also using special brush and color grading with opacity, so this digital sketches just for reference.

* 1ST ENTRY
Rose's Candy Corn Bow Braid
HAIR ENTRY.

DESCRIPTION: The Rare hair is accentuated with highlights of Goldenrod and Tangerine along with a rich toffee and chocolate brown color. The rare color can be called Caramel Swirl. Variations of the hair would include Platinum, Goldenrod, Chocolate Brown, Tangerine, Midnight black, and Vampire's Kiss Red.

The bow is a rayon like material with candy corn detail. The candy corn is Tangerine, Goldenrod, and Toffee brown.

Color swatches are included in the drawing below.

Angelic Rose's Vampire's Kiss

DESCRIPTION: Rare hair is black with red streaks blended throughout (think of blood dripping throughout the bangs and buns downwards). The colors are Fourth of July Red, Scarlet Red, Noir Black, And Black.
VARIANTS: CAN be purple, green, gray or any color of your choosing.
COLOR SWATCHES are included in the drawing below.

Rose's Zombie Corpse Bride Hair

Description: The Rare would include a decaying floral tiara and the decayed veil with blends of Pine green, slate blue, Lavender, steel gray, and Sage green interwoven throughout the hair. Variations of the hair would include only the floral tiara and not the veil.
Variations colors: Slate Blue, Lavender, Pine Green, Steel Gray, Winter White. Color Swatches included in the drawing. The floral tiara is made of decaying floral material. The veil is a tattered taffeta with holes throughout.

Angelic Rose's Zombie Bride

Description: A very tattered and torn bridal gown in silk. It has holes throughout the dress. (The blue skin is only for illustrative purposes), along the neckline is rhinestones and the top has floral satin rosettes and brocade ribbon details.The flowers are in a light denim blue and the brocade is silver. On the top of the head is a spider web fascinator in whatever material spider webs are made of. The heels have a wing detail and is in a denim blue with silver detail on the strap and a cerulean color. The rose is a faded blue (denim) with silver strands.

Angelic Rose's Spellbinding

Description: Bewitching eyes with a lavender and aqua blue matte lips. The blush is berry and the eye shadow is a combination of silver and lavender with some shadow under the eyes (soft effect like dark circles). The skin is flesh colored.

Variations of the eyes can be :Aqua Blue, Turquoise Green , brown, Hazel, and Steel gray.

Variations of the lips can be : lavender, berry, ruby red, flesh, and pearl pink.

Variations of the eye shadow can be: berry, lavender, turquoise, aqua blue, silver.

Outfit Design

The Black Widow

Description: The Dress is Noir Black with Carmine red and Fourth of July Blood splatters.It is a silk taffeta mermaid style ball gown with a sweetheart neckline. The Gun is a 9mm Glock. It is black, brown, and silver. The poison vile is lime green due to the antifreeze within. The Vial itself is silver.The Black Fascninator is black felt with polka dot tulle and one red blood stain on the veil. The Pumps are black and white patent leather with a red carmine wooden heel. The brooch is an onyx black widow with a ruby encrusted hourglass shape.

Rose's Evil Siren

Description: Love's gone wrong and now we must be avenged. The outfit will include a glittery mermaid tail with glittery fish scales. A shimmery sea-shell bra, a silver dagger. There will be a scenic rock with sea moss and the ocean. The body of the yo will have glittery fish scales. The tail can be any other color of your choosing. The color palette swatches are included in the drawing.

Outfit Design

Rose's Evil Voodoo Puppet Master

Description: This is a voodoo puppet master who's has you in the palm of her hand per say. But mess with her and you'll end up her puppet doing her bidding or worse, on pins and needles. Top Hat is a silk material with stripes. The top is a ruffled satin with an amethyst and silver brooch. The bikini (polyester) shorts has an attached organza train. The heels are leather, wood, and string ties. The puppet is wood and cotton, with yarn hair. The push pin is steel. The feathers are bird plumes. Color Swatches included in the design.The earrings are a metallic material.

Variations: Can be any other color of your choosing.

Sugar Skull Face Case

Description: A lovely but scary spook. She has a spider web etching on the skull, daisy bindi in the center, Swirls on the bottom, fanning out detail on the chin. Tiny dots along the sides. Circlets around the eye sockets, with two shades of eye shadow, and long black eyelashes.The nose is a heart design and the lips are two shades. The hair, arracadas, and roses are for illustrative purposes. Color swatches are inclused but I did forget the black pen color I used for the eyelashes.

Variations: Can be any other color of your liking.

Hair Entry

Hell's Princess

Description: A fiery flaming hair complete with horns, a tiara, and flames extending from the hair. The hair itself is rust brown, pumpkin orange, fourth of July red, black, and Lemon yellow. The flames are an extension of the hair and are pumpkin orange, lemon yellow, and fourth of July red with black in between to emphasize the flames. The crown and horns are baked into the hair. The crown will be a metallic finish with Pumpkin orange and red, with gold glittering jewels besetting the top. The horns are of a bone material and are Fourth of July red and Pumpkin orange.

Variations : The rare color would be called "Hotter than Hell", the other colors would be Midnight black, blood orange, scarlett/berry red, rust brown, and silver.

Sketch:
This outfit represents the angel of darkness, using a horned tiara, black color and purple stones. The wings are black. The crop top is purple, silk fabric, with black arrow stripes. The skirt is purple and the arrow stripes are black. The boots are purple and the wings and belts are black and the handheld is a Spiky wrecking ball in silver with black tones. Outfit Description: Red tip black Antenna with red florals same petals/pollen as floral HH and green leaves at the base
Dress ( Black corset top, red and black polka dot tutu bottom)
Pointed Toes Ballet Shoes with ribbon strap ("The tip of the shoe is a rigid box made of densely packed layers of fabric, cardboard and/or paper hardened by glue. The dancer depends on it to be extremely sturdy: The entire weight of her body is balanced on a small platform in that box! The rest of the shoe is made of leather, cotton and satin.')

Hello Vikings and everyone!

Below I am leaving my entries for the Halloween Design Contest 2021. It includes 7 hand-drawn outfits and 2 hair sketches designs. The items were drawn seperately in about 20 different papers, so I cropped, rotated and combined them into one image to present them as they would be on an YoAvatar. Back views and layered items are included to provide a better view of them.

As for the swatches and fabrics, they were selected as close as possible to the colour I would like to be on the outfit.
Variations were avoided so there is a more clean view for the drawings.

Letters match Swatches.
Numbers match Textures/Fabrics/Materials.
