Hello YoFans!

Here is where you'll submit your Innovator-Level Outfit designs for the theme, Historical Versailles!

Outside of Paris lies the opulent royal residence known as the Palace of Versailles. Its architectural grandeur sets the stage for many dramatic stories, luxurious soirees, and romantic pursuits. What would historical royalty wear when welcoming guests into their magnificent home?

To better assist you our artists have created a general template you may use to aid you in your designs!

General template below:

Please feel free to save the above template image. You can print it off and draw on it, design over top of it digitally, or submit a separate drawing in your preferred style and demonstrate how it should be worn on the Yo avatar.

RULES

1. Any original player design that has NOT already been released into the game can be submitted during this Innovator Design Contest by the artist who created it. There is a current limit of three design submissions per designer.

2. No copyrighted material. Even if you design it from scratch, if the final design encroaches on another artist or company’s copyright, we cannot use it in the game.

3. YoWorld has a Teen rating that we need to adhere to, so naturally, this means no nudity or gore. If you submit content that is too risque, it may be rejected to preserve that rating, or we may need to make adjustments to make it align with that rating.

4.The Player Support Team has no involvement with Player Design Contests and cannot speak about the status of submissions. Please do not contact them for more information about the Design Contest or any specific submissions. That’s what our lovely Community Managers, are here for!

5. By submitting your design, you acknowledge that you are releasing all rights to your creations and confirm that they are your creations. Any violations of this rule will result in a permanent disqualification from future design contests.

6. ALL NAMES of your designs will mostly likely need to be shortened. Please keep in mind that we will need to include the color of the item and the theme codes for the item as well. Please provide different name options of your design, so our content team can pick one to best suit our theme, character name limitations, etc. PLEASE NOTE: Player Designer Names or Outfit Names may be shortened to make sure everything fits.

7. Any personal requests to your designs can be included with your design. Any personal requests to your designs can be include, however, it will be up to our artist's discretion as they must adhere to internal art guidelines.

8. Submissions must be in by 11 AM EDT on June 26th.

I'm hyped to see another design contest! This one really sparked my imagination!!!!
Thank you very much for the opportunity!!
To anyone else considering entering: I wish you all the best and look forward to seeing what you will do with this beautifully extravagant theme!

A La Creole, En Gaulle.

The chemise is of a cotton material with ruffles on the neckline, puffed sleeves with golden arm bands at the top. The middle of the chemise is tied with a ribbon that has a bow in the back, the Creole hat has beautiful floral arrangements of roses, a sateen ribbon, and feather plumes, there are silk stockings, a plumed heel with pearl accents, silver and diamond "Bijou" earrings, a double strand of pearls with a pearl pendant accented by a silver and diamond encrusted bow, and a handheld rose.

Variations: Traditionally the chemise is meant to be white or cream, the ribbon can be any color. The roses can also be any color as well the plumes in the hat. The plumes of the heel can be any color as well.

I've seen in the NPC contest thread that there are already outfits in game that fit the theme and I'm not familiar with. I'm entering my Cyrano here as well, with reservation and sincere apology if something like this has already been released or submitted by a designer.
My apologies, also, for not recreating it to fit the Yo avatar. :rose:

Dress's reference: I just took liberties at the waistline, took off the shoulders and ruffles in the neckline to make it less frumpy and made the ruffles in the skirt less frilly so they look cleaner on our little yo.

and this is how the back view's supposed to look like: (except the train should start lower since my version doesn't cover the shoulders)

I opted for a day in the country - I present to you: Sue's Country Duchess outfit

*Note the bow would be an additional piece if made separately so it could be worn on top of the outer coat if chosen. If so, then the neckline of the dress would fall just at a fashionable place for the time period.
