In Tokyo in 1968 a man dressed as a Japanese motorcycle cop was driving a stolen police motorcycle and pulled over an armored truck carrying over 300M yen (equal to $10M US at that time). The fake cop informed the armored truck team that the truck was rigged to explode if they kept driving and that they should abandon it and flee immediately. They did as ordered.

The fake cop, the truck, and the money were never seen again. Not a single lead was ever identified during the investigation.

There are these crickets called tree crickets that when the male cricker chirps (to attract female crickets) it loses 20% of its body weight.

Even more interesting, there are smaller tree crickets called bafflers that aren't big enough to produce the loudest sound to attract a female mates, so what they do is make holes in leaves and reflect the sound through said hole, off of the leaf to produce the loudest chirp. So the small, smart cricket is just as effective as the bigger cricket!
