My city is in a slow fog looking cloudy but it's from fires as far away as Montreal Quebec-we are to stay indoors over the next few days until it is safe for our hearts and lungs so this means I'm not out much but am resting-did try something new in the kitchen-made rice krispes squares but not with that cereal -made them with a change using lucky charms-they turned out great and taste delicious!

My son is visiting New York City with some friends and they are getting a lot of haze and poor air quality there from the fires in Canada.

I'm getting ready to head out to work today so I won't be around until later tonight. Hope you all have a good day!

I have another question today which was suggested by lovely PepsiAddict and I found it so creative, so you can all talk more about yourselves, and maybe get a little nostalgic kshfjsjd

What were your weekends/holidays like when you were a child? What's your most memorable one?

I loved my childhood. We weren't rich or even middle class, but my parents always made sure we had scooters, bikes, and even heeleys! (kind of like shoes x rollerblades lol.) My dad valued outdoor time alot. On some weekends, he would load up a little red wagon with a blanket, snacks and his alarm clock radio to play music and off we would go to explore a local park. I miss the simpler times :)

Fun fact about me, I never learned how to ride a bike! :silly: I was a scooter kid all the way :haha:

This is adorable! I think my fav childhood weekends memory would be having sweets! :haha:

Me and my siblings were only allowed to have candies, chocolates etc on the weekends because my mum was scared of us ruining our teeth so every time after my Sat english class, I splurged my tiny allowance on candies lol :D
Weekends = candies for me..

No worries Jo! You need all the rest you can get.. I've been on and off from forum as well. Real life comes first! Also same here, we've been having poor air quality because of the really hot weather recently.. Good thing we do get rain from time to time, helps with the air quality and the heat.. :phew:

Most weekends were spent playing with neighborhood friends. One had a pool so all summer long we were in that. Also, loved getting ice cream from the ice cream truck on summer evenings!

Most of my vacations, we either went to the beach a couple hours from our house or flew down to visit my grandparents in Florida and hit up lots of tourist attractions.

Most memorable? I couldn't just pick one!

But I will give you a fun fact, my first Cabbage Patch Doll (hugely popular in the 80's for those too young to know) was named Bethany after Bethany Beach.

it's still pretty bad over 140 fires burning-like nothing i've ever seen in the sky before!
staying indoors resting and on dumb oclock times now
p.s. didnt buy the mosquito thing, gonna think on it the item itself is ok on sale BUT the refills seem to cost way more than the container--will see
popping in and out to see how everyone is doing-have a great weekend!!

SO, I shall come up with another question today: What are the songs that make you sing along whenever you hear them?

I completely, absolutely love the song Pretty woman HAHAH, I can't help but start dancing and completely switch moods whenever that one plays :haha:

Pretty much anything by Queen! I listen to a station in the car that plays songs by them frequently. Fat Bottomed Girls, Somebody to Love, Bohemian Rhapsody, Don’t Stop Me Now, We Will Rock You . . .

We used to sing You are My Sunshine to our first born, expect we would sing it "You are my son, Shaun, my only son Shaun . . ." then we had another son :haha:
