Heyyy PNKMxPepsiAddict :D Thank you so much for this contest. I didn't get to participate much in Snow's thread as busy irl. I hope to be able to take part in yours. Wow incredibly generous prizes. U seem/sound like sucha down to earth person and so friendly and chatty if I may say. :haha: :haha:

Well things are well on my end. Except mom fell a week ago and broke her hip. She's hospitalized. It's devastating as she was the one who was taking care of my father who is also total care and needs help as he had fell about two years ago and broke his hip too. I pray that mom makes a full recovery soon and can take care of my dad. In the meantime, my siblings and I are looking after dad currently while mom is a the hospital recuperating from her fall.

Thanks again for the contest and hope u have an amazing day!

I haven't been online much lately because my dad has been in hospital for the last six weeks. He was suffering from kidney failure, but he's luckily turned a corner. He might be discharged this week.

I also have a new ragdoll kitten. His name is Moon and he's three months old. Look at the little munchkin.

Oh Dalia I'm so sorry to hear about what you and your Dad and family have had to go through! It's great that he is on the mend especially with the kidney! Sami I know about your mom and was wondering if she had been discharged from hospital-that has to be rough especially since your Dad's fall-keep up the fantastic work of helping them both,I know it cannot be easy for anyone of you.
love those kitty pics Dalia-thanks for sharing!!
I'm on my way to the drs soon for my legs-they wanted to implant the gels but 350.00 a leg is too much for me -and that is at a discount. So doesn't look like that is a good option so am waiting to see what he says today.

On the other hand our weather has finally cooled off a bit-last week the temp with humidy reached and felt like 107F I couldn't do much with that. and wish healing Mom is waiting to do a road trip in the fall which will be exciting for us!!
:D I'm always in charge of snacks so I don't mind this part and it will be nice if the leaves begin to change as the trees are in abundance here and it's something to look forward to!

I wish your family a speedy recovery Sam. My grandma broke her hip about 10 yrs ago and she still running around! I will pray for a full recovery. Caregiving is a lot of work. I was my grandfathers only caregiver before he died on hospice. I am glad you have sibling support. I will keep you all in my prayers.

My grandma Turns 83 tomorrow! My Mom was 63 on July 3rd. My oldest just turned 22. The time flies!
Grandpa had his bday yesterday but it was his first since he passed. I was only 18 when I got married and had my son but I am glad he got to know my grandparents thoughtout his life. I was truly blessed as they raised me like a daughter my whole life. My grammy in the nursing home dementia. I wish she could have stayed living with me but it got too dangerous for her. She triple up on meds and get violent. She likes where she is now finally and is close to me so I am happy. No one pays attention to my grandparents but me. It a shame but at least they had or have me. More than some have.

OMG it been so humid here in MN. Last wk was worse for sure tho.
That sounds so fun! I am always the snack girl haha! I love it! About 45 min from me is the worlds biggest candy store and they have an apple orchard. My plan is to go next month with my boyfriend and afterwards make some homemade applesauce. It is soooo much better than the store one. Hot or cold amazing!
I hope when you get to take your trip you have lots of fun! I think fall is the best of all the seasons!
Hope your recovery is going well! Hugs and prayers

PNKMxPepsiAddict (111325812) wrote:Ok So, Jo got me thinking about mosquitos lol

So, mosquitos are just annoying, ants are annoying, I like spiders and won't kill them, if I find one in the house I trap and put it outside, praying mantises are gorgeous, I won't kill a bee unless I have to...(did you know if all the bees on earth disappeared the human race would be gone in 5 years), I used to catch grasshoppers and put them on (ha or throw them AT) my older sisters just to hear them scream LOL!

Now all that being said...

Beetles, I am terrified of beetles. They don't sting, they don't bite, they do nothing except have sticky little feet (I just shuddered like FR lol). If one lands on me, you can hear me scream 100 miles away lol, no idea why but I am absolutely terrified of them.

Tell me about your bug phobia, if you have one!

Ty so much for hosting sweetie and you and your chatty self are what makes these contest so fun
Congratulations on becoming a great aunt and to your niece on being able to feel that little life growing inside of her. I know she loves her first daughter and I know she's been a great mom but it's not quite the same as being able to experience that miracle for yourself .As far as bug phobias my biggest is a house centipede with all those creepy legs .When we first moved up here to the country my son who was little at the time was playing outside when he let out a blood curdling scream. I went to see what was wrong and a grasshopper had jumped on his eye and was just sitting there. Then there was the time he picked up what he thought was a hunk of lint and it turned out to be a spider.Let me tell you little girl's don't have anything on him in the screaming department :haha:

Hope to be back soon to comment on other stuff :D

There you go: Image

We use them a lot where I'm from since we live close to a big river and it's almost impossible to stay outside during nighttime in the summer because of the mosquitos.

skin so soft worked on everything-dad would buy some from Avon and use a cloth with it on it,on all the screens and patio door-that was long ago-I will have to look and see IF anyone even sells it anymore as it smells good..those coils are rancid but they do work up to 5 hours at a time but as I said mine all broke up and yes,I am still using them for early evenings and those pesks are super annoying!!

speaking of Avon-anyone remember going out for the evening to a house party for this stuff same as for tupperware-we played games had some info on products checked some out and had eats..I use to love this part of socializing!!!!

Bunny!!!!!! oh woman nice you get to now have some fun in a contest-how cool this is your first one-and you're doing it right and relax and have fun with it-I LOVE these kinda chatty get to know you guys more n more..

I got frustrated with Yo earlier so I just shut it down and went to swim and do some chores. I took my time and then went to celebrate my sister's birthday today-I'm feeling alright and now it's August and our summer is half over so I try to get outdoor things done or do things outdoors as long as the weather isn't too hot.

I went and got those cheap mosquito coils that ya burn to keep them away-BUT-when I opened the package and tried to take one apart-they all cracked and broke! Anyone ever had this happen? is there a trick to pulling them apart without breaking them?
Anyone use anything besides spray or off to keep them at bay? lemme know pls n thanks

Aww okay, that's a relief! Always randomly get lost in the forums lool! :haha:
I know the feeling.. I was trying to decorate a library room, and got dc a couple of times, had to close my laptop so I don't get angry then came back to it later. anyway, I hope your sister had a wonderful day! Having a sunny birthday is awesome - mine always lands on the winter in my home country, or rainy season where I currently live. I'd love some sun for mine!

I'm doing great! The heat wave finally broke here, WOW it was hot! Bad thing here, 3 miles from the ocean, it was muggy, muggy muggy, (humid lol).

As far as the baby shower, just a bunch of the family ladies get together and give the expectant Mama gifts and such she needs. But we also play games. My favorite game, we melted like melty-melted, some candy bars, and put the melted chocolate in clean disposable diapers, and we had to try the candy out of the diaper and guess which candy bar it was lol. SO GROSS lol but SO FUNNY!

Thank you for the congrats!

There's different contests here, but Snow posted one that everybody loved, it went on for two weeks, and we all just chatted and joked about different topics. Even though it went kinda long, we were all still kinda disappointed when it was over, cuz it was just fun lol

lol@ beloved little gremlin! When my nephew was born, the first time I saw him, he was wearing a blue hospital baby gown and hat. So I said he looked like a smurf, andddd now he's 32, people still call him Smurf lol it Stuck! :haha:

Now don't be shy, chime in!!!!

Awwe that's so cute lool! :haha:
My cousin is currently 13, so he's going through his grumpy phase and thinks he's already very grown.
I should probably hold off on calling him gremlin for a little while, he gets angry so easy nowadays. Kids. :wailing:
