To be completely honest I'm not much of a veggie person, but I do love my fruits!!
Fruit-wise I would have to say my favorite of all time is mangos!! :D Probably because I'm from the Philippines so i grew up eating loads of them, and now it's honestly an obsession. I haven't been back home for a while so it's so hard when you crave sweet juicy mangos and there's never any good ones where I live currently :wailing: plus you can have it as part of any meal! breakfast, lunch, dinner or even just as a yummy snack hehe

Ohh I am the opposite of you. Yesterday I had steamed cabbage and brocccoli only for dinner. I just love veggies. My boyfriend thinks it weird but my family from Italy. We love veggies haha.
I love fruit too! Mangos are a great breakfast! I rather have fruit than a bread or cereal for breakfast.
Most mornings I drink a protien shake chocolate and a piece of fruit. I love berries and bananas as well!!
Uh I have had a buy few days then my ex brother in law past away today. I hope everyone is doing well!!
He was ill for some time but it was still sad. I like him. He only one in that family I did like.

Ahhhh I don’t think I’ve ever had steamed cabbage or broccoli as part of a meal ever!! I’m white embarrassed about it to be honest, I really do wish I was a veggie girlie but I honestly don’t think I have it in me, my gag reflex just automatically turns on ahh :wailing:

Thank you for the birthday wishes seya!!! I love mangoes. do you prefer the green ones or the ripe orange ones? :)

Hmmm I love both honestly because the green ones are perfect with what we call here, bagoong, which is basically like a seafood paste like shrimp I think? It’s so delish!! But then the orange one are also so yum with some rice!!

I love mango but no idea how to tell when they're ripe and always get a bad, any tips??

Oh yes!! To be honest I’m not an expert at it either, I kind of go by gut feeling most of the time so idk if you would want to take my advice but I think it definitely depends on the type of mango it is, but I usually base it off by squeezing it a bit, because where I am now they are usually sold really hard and green, so I kind of leave it for a few days and squeeze it to check if it has become any softer!

But usually, green mango is the type thats not very sweet and a bit sour but is perfect with the bagoong paste I mentioned earlier, whereas the mangoes that are more yellow/orange are the sweeter kind, they tend to go bad quicker because they’re usually already ripe, but you can always put it in the fridge to prevent it from getting bad quicker! :D

Again not an expert so idk if this is even correct hahaha so if anyone knows better feel free to correct me, I don’t wanna be giving false information hahaha

This is my favourite fruit its called feijoa it grows really well here in new zealand its originally from south america. Its best to let it fall to the ground then pick it up and cut it in half scoop out and eat it raw like i do it has a unique taste which is why i love it, we use it in baking too feijoa and pear cake, feijoa crumble.

Wow, another one I have never heard of!

I'm a pretty picky eater, but I would try just about any fruit at last once,

Definitely picky on my veggies, but I've grown to really like broccoli and green beans. Eat some others too, but those are my favorites!

My youngest is not eating the veggies in any way haha. She even hates celery. She just thinks we are crazy haha. We are I get it! She has her dads taste. They never go near a tomato or cabbage haha.

Hiya Jo <3
OMG I was craving watermelon so much last night! I might have to buy one today! Plus they are low in carbs so it a nice treat when I am counting them! Berries and Watermelon are full of antioxidents and low in the carb count! So is whipped cream! Berries and Whipped Cream are a great low carb desert that can extend your life. I have a few nutrition classes in college lol. They get technical!

I usu have low iron and that thought to be part of the reason but my dad is also a chef from Milan.
I ate so much that was homemade as a kid from tomatos it just feels like home lol.
I eat roma ones like apples walking around the house haha tweeks out my boyfriend.
If I had to pick one food to eat for the rest of my life roma tomatos would win hands down.
I think it why us Italians live long and look so young. Most ppl think I am 25.
They perserve us hahah. That and the olive oil.
I am a bit overboard with the tomatos but omg I just love them!

But but but but, you're right on with this thread, tomatoes are FRUIT, not veggies lol I know, weird ... but true lol

See?

I do know this and didn't really cross my mind! You are correct. I think that why I can eat them like an apple as they are so sweet to me! It is weird but I get why they classify it as a fruit with the sweetness and the seeds! The more we know haha!
I hope you have a lovely day!!! You are sooo funny girl!! I love it!

where I'm at is the biggest time for corn on the cob-OMG no nutrients but with hot butter salt n pepper!
with a side of a slab of ribs!!!!!!!!!!!!
I know for the first time to that question-MOMMMMMMM what's for dinner????????????

-I loathe that part as I am always wondering the same question-every.single.day.

now I got a meal for a day this coming weekend!!!

Haha! I know it from being a mom and cooking for well myself I have been cooking dinners on my own from the age of 14 and was a wife at 17 so 23 or so yrs lol. So many dinners. I am thinking about ours too. It hot like 93 degrees here. I might cold cut it with some stuff to go on the side in the air fryer but I am also craving pasta with meat sause so one of the two lol. I have not had a chance to eat yet today. The heat kills my appitite more than usual and I'm usu a eat dinner and then a late snack girl. My boyfriend always up on my girll to eat more. I am 5'2 so I don't really require more than like 900 cal a day. I look healthy haha. He the same goes all day without eating but makes up for it at night. I just can't consume as much as him. He a mailman so he burning more calories all say than I. I hope he survies the heat today. Nice thing is one day off always a Sunday. I can see him tonight. Well I was idk in the heat. I might just hid. My central air in my apartment broke so I am literally sitting next my floor air conditioner trying to survive lol. The office said they are replacing it in the building but not until fall like fantastic. My rent in the city 1500 a month like really fix the air! That life, no reason to get upset over that which I can't control. It will only be hot a few more days in the 90s this yr. People survived without air conditioning before and so will I. No oven for dinner idk if it will be to hot in the evening for company, we are in a heat warning currently. I am just playing and take 15 mins to do a little housework and run back to the air lol. I do kinda miss him a little lol so we will see. He doesn't mind to come over in the heat but ppl in your face in the heat makes me cranky as it sticky humid and he clingy. Uh. Hopfully I live another day the rest is irrelevent to me when I am hot lol.
I hope you find something good for dinner! Maybe some chicken, corn and watermelon!!

It's called "Pawpaw fruit" pronounced like a paw, like a dog or cat paw. But it was a tree my Grandfather had, and we called him "Paw-paw" lol but the first A was said like the A in "glad" so Paaaa-Paw.

Me and my sister used to get in trouble a lot for stealing the pawpaws off Paw-paws tree lol when they'd get ripe then hiding in back the house and eating them.

So good though!! Great memories too :)

:cake: :cake: :cake: Happy Birthday Hunni!!

This is so interesting I have never seen this fruit before! I guess you really do learn something new everyday :) Is there a specific area that these fruits are found? I live in the U.S and have never seen one before

Wishing you the happiest of birthdays! —- and a big that you for hosting!!

I am not a big veggie lover but I absolutely love me some fruit! I would say my favorite is probably strawberries! We buy a pack every week at the grocery store just to snack on, put in lunches, etc! It’s been so hot where I am from recently and I love eating strawberries on a hot day—-they are so refreshing!
