ahh the state fair! We sometime go to this at the end of August-use to go every year but it's gotten further away in America,so us canadians will do some shopping then head to the fair-especially all the junk food yum!
I took another nap got up about 7 30p.m My body is needing the rest so I go with that-time is all messed up for me I'm just that tired.

sipping coffee hoping this helps keep me awake-that saying about not having coffee late in the day is sooooooo wrong-I can drkn the stuff at night and it doesn't keep me awake but im always tired these days lol
does anyone else have coffee affect them in the evenings?

Yesssssssssssssss the junk food lol! I am looking forward to fried green tomatos! Honestly shopping and junk food is all i would require haha. Sounds fun!
My classes start the 29th so unless I have too much homework I should be able to do something.

I am Italian and have adhd so coffee can put me to sleep actually. I sip coffee all day and night! My coffee maker broke a few wks ago and my mom and boyfriend were like omg omg she needs her coffee haha.
True tho after a day with no coffee and it into the next day I would be hard to talk to but I got a replacement pretty quickly lol.

I am glad you are getting some rest and on the mend but i'm sorry your sleep schedule is disrupted.

Glad you got a new coffee maker-seems a lot of small appliances are going on me-my mixer went when I was in the middle of trying to bake-the spinners or whatever those things are called came apart-I did have a set for dough so I just used that. It just means its been used a lot-wonder when that toaster of mine gives out ha!

Weekends here are generally big shopping day for groceries then out to a dinner-don't want to cook once the shopping is done-we all do it together me mom n sister so its time spent together. We always have Sunday dinner as a family and summer is easy-bbques and swimming.

and of course I need rest so I don't go around the store as much,my daughter pretty much fills the cart and I will push it til it's too heavy.

I ALWAYS get the cart where it wont steer proper or the legs twist in!! wish they would check those and put them aside but nope it pretty much is drawn to me :silly:

OMG I feel you on the toaster. I am waiting for mine to die at this point. I should just go buy a new one lol.
I am like ok 5 mins for toast is toooooooooo long lol. OMG I have the same mixer from when I got married the first time and I was only 17 lol. My grandma bought me the 400 dollar kitchenaid. It still like new and I bake constantly.
Still that really expensive imo for a mixer lol. 2 more yrs and I won't be a poor college student lol. I have a 2 yr degree but these two 4 yr degrees will really open some doors.

Ohhhh that great Jo! I did family dinners at my grandparents my entire life until last yr when grandma had to go to the home and grandpa passed. I miss our bbqs for sure. I have started my own family dinners. My kids gather here Sundays, I just have no place to bbq so I must cook lol. My middle one is 18 and ya know knows everything so she hard to pin down right now haha. She finished high school and has a good job so ok. I do want her in college next yr. I am lucky my boyfriend is all about taking us to see grandma all the time. I felt really guilty she had to go somewhere over live with me but it got to be unsafe. I still feel bad. Her dementia pretty bad at this point. She got violent or would like try to take her meds way too often and fight everyone. She ok where she is I just always promised her she live with me. It is what I wanted but was unable to continue.

I am glad you have your daughter! She sounds amazing! I am glad she helps you and you have ways to get some excercise. I was really suprised when my mom received a blood clot and stroke at 58. I worry about that for everyone now like keep moving. Lucky she pretty much back to normal but if you know she had one you can notice a few small things like she will say easter for xmas by mistake things like that but nothing physical stopping her and she can read and write and talk pretty much like she did. She has all her memories. She was lucky.

You look so cute Jo! Love the fit!

Well, I have already failed at keeping up! Better late than never I guess!

Pepsi, sorry to hear you aren't feeling well. Hope your feeling 100% again soon

Hallowqueen, congrats on heading back to school! My oldest is transferring with his AA to another school to get his BS. We're moving him in less than two weeks. My youngest is starting his senior year of high school so the application process is in full swing.

JustJo, family meals are the best. We used to get together with my parents every Sunday, but as the kids have gotten older and everyone has gotten busier, it's now about once a month. Though my brother and SIL moved closer so now they join us.

Dalia, you kitty is so precious! Love cats :cat:  Used to have two. Hubby and I are allergic but got allergy shorts during that time. My have to go back to shots and get another kitty when we are empty nesting.

Oh no! I hope you feel better soon!
I had something like that a few days ago. It was a light headache, bodyache, slight sore throat, and a little congested. I was better after a few days. I felt drained like zero energy. Usu I am bouncing off the walls.
I hope you feel better and your contest is fun! I love you jacked it lol. I use this word frequently in rl lol.
Well wishes Pepsi!

I love passing Jo and Sealine in the ah now as accessories or npc's lol.

Oh congrats Sealine! That so exciting! We are busy moms lol. Your kids sound smart and I wish them all the luck in the world. What an exciting time for them and yourself!
I have 2 in college and one who is a jr in high school. Almost you beat me to freedom from having to deal with the high school by a yr haha. I remember when there were 3 diff schools for a min as they are all 3 yrs apart lol.
Thank you so much! I did a 2 yr pharmacy tech degree but it very specific. I enjoy all the electives and such. I hate spreadsheet lol. They should die by fire lol. I did get to take a pretty interesting nutrition class. It got technical tho like ok. Science lol. I know a lot converting light energy into chemical energy blah blah like the actual nutruition info was good to learn but that got confusing. Cool thing now a days is those interactive techbooks that give you help online. I wish I had those with my first degree lol. It was just text books they handed you back then. I realized my children have never needed a physical book to look up something like a definition in their lifetimes. Amazing.

I hope you and everyone are having a great weekend.

I had to work today, so weekend is just starting. Tomorrow I'm taking my youngest to a party for a friend who is a going off to college. Then I'm meeting with a friend for coffee. My youngest just got his license, but I'm not ready for him to drive alone. We rushed it a little so he could get a senior parking space but probably a month more of practicing before I let him drive alone. Then I plan to do some back to school and college apartment shopping.

Monday and Tuesday we are heading to do a tour of my youngest's first choice college. I'm not thrilled with the choice because it's about 4 hours away, but so far, it's what he really wants. It is better than out of state!

It is crazy what our kids have never had to do. I so remember the days of having to go to the library and check out tons of books for a paper. Now it's all at their fingertips!

I still get a kick out of seeing one of my NPC's or a friends NPC in gem event entries!

So I came on to see what's going on but my eyes are closing again-thank you to those who have gifted me sometime today-I just been dragging my butt-moreso after a huge meal-oh I love cook outs and always seem to have they eyes that are bigger than my stomach but its soooooooo good and enjoyable....gonna sleep in tomorrow for sure-told ya my hours are so odd!!!

Oh my goodness yes driving is scary. My 22 yr old has been practicing. The other 2 not yet. We live in St. Paul. Their high school was like 2 blocks away and the bus stop right outside my door. I wanted them to take their time learning and only the oldest was interested so far. I do want my ladies to learn soon. Yes, driving just one of those things you really don't know well when you obtain the licence. The experence is what gets you their. We get so much snow that more what I worry about. You are a good mom to have him practice a bit more. I totally remember not really knowing anything when I obtained my licence lol.
That sounds fun! I am going with my boyfriend and his mom to the barbie movie today. She was going with a friend and got ditched so I suggested we take her. Low key I want to see barbie haha.
Enjoy your coffee! Yes it is fun seeing your npc's in rooms lol. Congrats again you are so stylish!

I am glad you are getting rest Jo.
I feel you I have a horrible sleep schedule.
I never sleep more than 4 hrs in a 24 hr period and it sucks.
like twice a month I pass out for a day.
I usu pass out hard then wake up 2 hrs later force another 2 hrs like give up.
I do at least take rest times so I don't go insane lol.

Glad you are getting some sleep now! Allergies are a beast! Hubby and I did shots for years for the cats and they worked good. It wasn't bad once we got up to just needing them monthly. But now that we don't have cats my allergies are bearable. I take an Allegra everyday and wear a mask when doing anything dusty. A lot of the allergy meds can make you really drowsy. And I hear you on big meals too! Hard to do anything after one of those!

Dang girl! I'd never survive on that little sleep. Not that I'm a great sleeper. I wake up several times a night but can usually get back to sleep. Though there are times when I wake up in the early morning and my brain starts working overtime. Sometimes, like 5am this morning, I get up and write a list of what's going on in my head. It often settles my mind enough I can go back to sleep, but not always.
