Usually I do look forward to cooking, but it just isn't enjoyable for me anymore.
Oh I actually think we picked up a bag of ocean spray cranberries once but we tried to eat them raw...obviously it was a terrible, terrible idea we were young and didn't know much

I wondered what other items, they will release. Not want to get my hopes up, but I'm curious.

We are doing blue n white this year in memory of my husband for Hanukkah) and I mostly have things done and ready...Christmas we go away so I only put out a nice table cloth and deco on top-made a cheap one from them videos
got a glass container-I chose a round one but there's so many to choose from and some of those string lights that you use a battery I threw in a set of christmas ornaments and weaved the lights through those and voila I turn down the house lights and turn on the wee lights in the bowl and it looks awesome!!
you can substitute the ornaments with pine cones and some springs of fake leaves or bows and this looks neat too...just a couple ideas
have a good day

One year we decided we weren't dragging the kids from house to house to see everyone, so we cooked Thanksgiving dinner at our house. It was just us, the kids, and a friend who was in town and didn't have any plans. Well, the toilet backed up and being that it was our only one we had to do something then and there. We ended up having to dig up the cleanout and unclog it (not going into details here). Anyway, we can look back on it and laugh now, but at the time I was embarrassed and horrified. Our friend however, just jumped right in an helped without hesitation, a true gem he was. Sometimes life has a funny way of telling or showing you what is really important and what to be thankful for. Friends like that are a rarity.

After dinner I love to watch Christmas movies and have a Gingerbread Martini. It's an adorable little drink that's good for fall and winter.
Good luck everyone. Wishing you Happy Holidays.

Sealine (105788113) wrote:We went to a restaurant one year. My grandmother had recently passed, my brother, sil and nephew were with her mother who was battling cancer and my aunts were away. Since it was just my parents and the 4 of us, my mother saw an ad for a restaurant and decided she didn’t want to cook. It was a really nice place on the river, reservation only for Thanksgiving. You could order from the regular menu or get their Thanksgiving plate that was Turkey with all the fixings and pumpkin pie for dessert. Our waitress was wonderful. Said she didn’t have family local so she really didn’t mind working. Overall, we had a great meal and were thankful to be together.
Now my brother and sil live closer and she loves to cook so Thanksgiving is her deal. I’m happy to not have to cook!
Thanks so much for hosting Pat
