Hi! I've just returned after being away for 5 or 6 years and find I now have some "collectibles" (who knew!). I was quite a shop-a-holic during the years I played. Could someone here point me in the right direction to learn the ins and outs of trading? I've quite a bit of YOville/ YOWORLD experience but I'm definitely a newbie when it comes to trading. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!!

Welcome back! For now, I think the only way to check prices is thru the average button on the auction house (the ? button). Of course it doesn't always have one unless it was recently sold. Someone else might have better suggestions, good luck!

I’m in AH a LOT and may be able to help with some pricing.

The best tip I can give you is to say your inventory is worth much more than you could have imagined.

Popular Zynga themes like Burlesque, Casablanca, Royal India, Ancient Rome, Enchanting China, Beverly Hills, Pixies Borough, Miniature Park, Hotel Chic, Yorient Express, Miami to list just a few are worth a factor of like 500k to 1 yocash original value. So, an item that cost say 6 yocash then might be worth about 3 million now.

Not hard and fast, just a heads up so you don't sell something real nice for too little. May I suggest you ask someone to appraise but refuse to sell anything to them? An appraiser who then buys has a conflict of interest.

Anyway, good luck and welcome back!

I think that might be high, or not accurate for all popular themes, based on things like this... I've seen both Beverly Hills beds in AH in the past week, maybe two. They were both less than 2M with no bids at all. A lot of people stick to clothes and such because furniture is too small to incorporate with new themes/homes/furniture.

I've been collecting tons of stuff from Zynga themes and haven't paid 3M for anything. I've only paid 1M for a handful of things, if even that.

Also, keep in mind that people aren't going to pay a lot for plants, books, etc., anything that comes with tons and tons of themes still today. A 2K current plant looks plenty close enough to a Hotel Chic plant to save 100K or more.

In a nutshell, newbies who haven't been here long don't have the coinage and people who have been here long enough to have the coinage know what things cost if we're patient. It's far and few between who just don't care and snatch the first one they see, even if priced high.

Well, if you can get any of those yocash items in those themes for that price, let me know your source and I'd like some too. Coin items from days of yore are always overpriced, but the yocash items are actually rare and their price reflects that.

Anyway, to stay with your example, if I want Hotel Chic, I'm not going to buy any other plant or other item. Only Hotel Chic will do. The tag is the draw, not necessarily the lust for a plant, book, etc...

And it might surprise you to know that I buy/sell everyday and am fairly good at pricing. Furniture that is. Clothes for me will be from the store or cheap in the ah. Generally. I won't pay the speculative prices for items which is why I like furniture. Nice and stable...
