I am having the same issue and no I haven't found a solution, getting ready to submit a ticket. I'll let you know what they say.

I am sorry to hear that you're having trouble with the new layering feature on YoWorld.com! Investigating your account, I noticed that you're still playing on our old Desktop App. Unfortunately, this App is not optimized for YoWorld.com and I recommend you to uninstall this version and install our new App which is specifically created for YoWorld.com.
You can do so by following these steps:
1. Uninstall YoWorld from your computer via the Add / Remove Programs option under your System Settings.
2. Once this version of YoWorld has been uninstalled, please clear the cache on your device. You can do so in your browser by pressing CTRL+SHIFT+DEL at the same time and then clicking the option to clear your cache in the popup window that appears.
3. After that please navigate to [url]YoWorld.com[/url] in Google Chrome where you can download the newest version of our YoWorld Desktop App by clicking on the Download button in the upper left corner of your YoWorld.com screen.
4. Now you can start up the new Desktop App which should be running more smoothly.
If you are still having the same problem after reinstalling our Desktop App, definitely let me know and we will look into some more troubleshooting options together!
