I'm unable to rename my rooms if the name I'm choosing have a blank space in it. These are the following error messages that appear:

"Sorry! Renaming this House was unsuccessful"
"Room name must include only English letters and numbers"

Does anyone else have the same issue?

I only get that message if I use a symbol like a hyphen.
I would send in a ticket.

Sadly I have never seen a viking answer a question on this forum.
Maybe it is just here for forumers to help each other, but I'm not sure how to help if it's a glitch.

I remember there were some names of Gem Event rooms that had something in them that caused an issue with changing the name, was this a gem room?
Did the room name that you were changing start out with a symbol in it?
It is odd that they can name rooms with hyphens but we cannot.

If you don't mind, what is the name you are changing it to? There should be no issues with English letters, numbers, or spaces.

Thank you for your response, I've submitted a ticket to them as well. No, it's a regular room - not connected to the Gem Events. I was trying to change the name to Operation Theatre.

You may have a "hidden" character in the name field. It happens sometimes in digital fields.
Try this: delete everything in the name field. Save that room. Log out and then log back in and go to that room. Rename the room again.

Thank you Tree but it's the same with every room. For me, it's the blank space that does it

Yeah idk what is going on, that name should have been fine. Have you tried a different browser? Does it happen with other rooms too or is it specific to one house and room?

I have friends who cannot leave messages in message boxes anymore that contain spaces. They have to use periods or hyphens between their words as their spaces, or just one long word that is impossible to read. It might also be that way for them with the chat messages. Idk if anyone has figured out why they are having that trouble with typing.

I tried what Tree suggested with a room in a trailer, also with the house name. Both room and house names would not save as empty fields, the game added their original name back when I clicked to save. I did not log out and log back in, I only refreshed. The trailer would not allow me to saved a deleted name.

I tried saving one room name and worked out that it was way too long I like to put dates on my houses/rooms so I know what year I deco'd them
but some of the newer rooms already have a date name etc there and its very long. I had to delete the lot and just save with a single letter like E (empty) or N (nothing) , then I could go back and put in something like Fairy Town FS2024.
It only seems to be the newer houses/avenues/rooms that do it because whats in there is a crazy long name and theres a character limit on what you can put in
