Gary, why filter at all? it's a futile effort that costs you and us money. Your not filtering other languages that use the same alphabet like French, Italian, Spanish etc. They use bad words all the time so what's the point? Is is because Zynga started it in 2011 you feel the need to continue it ? FYI, I'm running a pole in forum it's at 70% No Filtering.
So what's the reason for filtering at all when you have Reporting/Block tools to shut out players you don't want to see?
Are you trying to protect illegal 12 yr olds in the game who don't support this game financially?
p.s. I see BVG took my suggestion of removing YoCash transactions in Auction House. YoCash should only be able to be purchased

p.p.s. yesterday i was Gold Supporter, now I'm a nothing? LOL

When I was typing "Boo Hoo" I noticed it comes up as "Boo Yadda"
And when I type in "Damn" it says "yadda" yet I'm allowed to put "wtf" or "wth"

the words: (ass,gay,vagina) aint filtered.. (can u go, anything to do with the word finishing) are filtered

"isn't" is filtered, as well as any two word combination where the first word ends in "sh" and the next word is "it", such as "wash it" or "push it". I agree that the filter should be eliminated altogether. The children it's supposed to protect are the worst offenders anyway. There are plenty of ways to be nasty without cursing that I see at Alton, and people just use different spellings to get around the filter if they want to curse, and everyone knows what they're saying, so what's the point?

Hi ppl. I agree the filter should be dropped completely as more often than not it censors proper chat words. When I'm chatting with someone it often comes out "yadda" which unfairly gives the impression that I am using bad words when I have always made an effort to avoid them. It has little effect on actual bad words because ppl just change the spelling but it makes the rest of us look like potty mouths. Thank you

Tried typing a name, "Christine Grace", It became "Christiyaddaace"

Also, was having a conversation about attaching my BBQ hose to the tank valve, and tried to type, "push it in", It came out "puyaddain"

Other words/phrases getting censored:
email ---->yadda
slave--->yadda
denuded--->deyaddad
English...it would be--->Englisyaddawould be

Man, these chat filters are a little excessive! I think chat filters should be completing disabled when we are in our own homes with our friends! Heck, even out in YoWorld roaming around, I really don't think they do much good, other than annoy us when we're trying to have a regular conversation (with no bad language), but keep seeing "yadda yadda yadda" everywhere. If people want to curse or engage in off-colour conversations, then they will find a way around the filters anyway. And we all have the option to "block" someone, so I don't really see the need for chat filters. Yo was much more enjoyable when we had no chat filters at all....I guess when Z combined the 2 servers (adult & youth) they felt they had to implement them?? :roll:

Too bad we just couldn't go back to having separate servers again, and back to no chat filters in the adult server!

(only when I put the dot dot dot in-between, if I typed "good at organizing" it came out uncensored)

"hooked" became "yaddad" (was talking about being "hooked on phonics")
