I have a question related to the use of Auction House.
Okay, so I won a contest with a page and the prize was coins. But the problem is, the admins and my own time zones clash and we can't meet up therefore I've been told to put an item in auction house for the amount I won.
My question is does using auction house deduct a certain amount of coins I get compared to the set "buy now" price? Or do I get the amount of coins I set as the buy now price?

anything you sell in the AH buy now, or in a full auction, the house will take 20% of the price, if you can't do the math, how much was the prize and i can let you know what that will be.

but...for example, let's say you won 1,000 coins.
20% = 200coins.
So if you put something in AH for 1,200 coins, to cover that 20% AH charge, you're changing the original number it's deducting 20% from, so then it becomes..
20% of 1,200 = 240c.

Yep, 10k would be taken, so you'd end up with 40k.
If you added that 10k to buy now, you'd be doing 20% of 60k = 12,000, you'd end up with 48k winnings.

So to get exactly 50k, you would need to put something in AH for 62,500c.
