I would like to give away or sell since i have a ton but seems when i go to send as a gift or put in auction house they dont show up.... SO any ideas how to unlock them so i can give them away? :D

Anything that says "free gift" under it can't be traded or sold. Sorry. BVG did that when they took over because people were using them to make fake items. It was either make them untradeable or delete them from game altogether.

Yeah a lot of those things are a bit bugged anyway. I had a "tasty coconut drink" but I couldn't even use it as decoration, and then I noticed it had a "open it" button, so I "opened" it like you do with chests and it completely disappeared! And I have a "frozen cherry pie" I wanted to set on a counter for decoration but it won't leave my inventory. /sigh

It's so funny though, I have like 15 of those lamps with the music notes on them, 6 record players, about 12 tall latte packs, 6 wind up penguins, etc... it's nice to look back on all the old stuff. :)

I have a ton of really old freebies as well. I wanted to give them away on the wishlist forum, but found out they changed it to where you can't. They're not great items, but they are stuff that most people today don't have unless they've been playing for 5+ years. I wish they'd change this back.

As to the frozen cherry pie - it will never work. It shows you started to play in 2009. If so, you should remember when Zynga did away with the factory and opened a bake shop where you had to bake items to earn coins. It was MASSIVELY unpopular, and they did away with it early in 2010. The frozen cherry pies where a sort of bonus item that you could bake instead of buying dough and mixes to bake with. When they did away with the bakery and started the current coin quests and brought back the factory there was no way to "bake" the pie. So it is a useless item that you'll never be able to use.

If I remember correctly, the drinks were a source of energy that way back when you could consume to boost your energy level and shorten the time needed before you could work in the factory again. When they brought in the coin quests with the energy drinks you can get by working them, I think they disabled the old drinks, because they don't work any more either.

Ah, thanks for that!! Yeah I remember the bakery, I actually liked the bakery better than the factory because it felt more like you were actually working (rather than just clicking on a console once, haha). But I understand why they did away with it. I didn't remember that's where I got my cherry pie, so thanks for clearing up that mystery!! :D

I have some "sky juice" and orange soda pop and cartons of "tall latte", I can't remember if you could drink those or not but they work well just sitting on my tables and bars. Pity the coconut drink disappeared though because that would have looked cute in my tiki hut bar I plan to build!!

If you played the game back then maybe you can help me out with two items that confuse me in my inventory. The first is a cherry blossom tree which I kinda remember as being animated or there was a gimmick where you had to wait for it to blossom or something? I'm not sure because it's fully flowered now and doesn't animate. The second thing is a "friendship token" display case - I seem to remember there being an activity you could do (maybe click to leave your friends tokens in theirs?) but can't remember exactly what!!

I sort of remember the cherry tree. I don't remember that it was animated. My recollection is that once you put it in a room, it would grow until it blossomed. If you took it out of a room, and then put it in another, I don't think it started over - once it bloomed, it would always be in bloom.

I have the display case, and when I put my mouse over it, it outlines in yellow, but if you click it - nothing.

I worked it out today - the cherry blossom tree was a levelling thing. My husband made an account and today he got the tree... but he bought so much stuff from the store that he levelled up 4-5 times and it instantly bloomed - no need to wait! He also got the bottom 1/3 of his mystery bookshelf... I'd forgotten that came in pieces. :D
