I am so confused - I have been playing since 2009, but I've only recently started playing a lot. My question is in regards to neighbors versus buddies - I had assumed that when I added a friend to my Facebook account that was a YoWorld player, that these people then became my friends for YoWorld, and that they were also considered neighbors, not buddies.

If I understand correctly, when I go in to give my marble chests, the people that show up with a name, and then the name in parentheses are my actual friends in the game, and the ones with just a name, but no name in parentheses, are just buddies (??).

If this is the case, then this is where my confusion has started. I show 1508 friends, but tonight, I went through & marked off the ones that just show with no names in parentheses. There were 496 of these. The thing is, I don't add buddies - I don't go in and talk to people - I pretty much just buy my homes and decorate them, and do my visiting, but the majority of the time, the people are offline and I don't interact with them. So I haven't added these buddies, if that makes sense. Even my grandson, who used to show up with his name, and then his name in parentheses, has changed to where he appears to be "just" a buddy. I don't know why this might have happened either, as he says he hasn't changed anything on his settings.

I hope this makes sense...... Can someone please explain how this works? Thank you very much in advance!!

I believe that if their name is the same as their Facebook name, it doesn't put the parentheses.
I'm not sure, but maybe that's why?

Thank you, but I'm not sure that this is right, only because I have someone (not in parentheses) named "Fuzzy Pants," lol. And I don't have a friend with that name. I do appreciate your answering, though!
