its hard to find. You just go to your buddy list and on the right side is a little minus.
I did them once all at once thinking it was a hide them like a scroll down menue.
Next thing I knew, I was all alone. EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK.

If you still haven't got it , this is also how you delete them . You hover the mouse over the name of the person you want to delete . Then beside the name will appear," join ." And beside that an X will appear .If you click the x you can delete them .

I have done that, several times, and every time I log back on those "buddies" are back on my list. I even cleared my cache thinking that might help. I wonder if it is a bug?

Are you deleting buddies that are your friends on facebook ??
I deleted a facebook friend off my buddy list and they came back . But the in game buddies don't come back for me .

No, people I have removed as friends who no longer play or are inactive.

Did you buy them? At one time we could buy neighbors. Personally, I think these neighbors we bought were a great deal as every time I bought one I ended up finding a person in the game that clicked with me. It did not happen one time for me to come to this conclusion. It happened every single time I bought a neighbor. Id meet someone in the game right after and we clicked and they were wonderful helpers in my game too. Not only that Ihave had neighbors for years.
Maybe the ones you purchased never leave.
Im not sure if you bought them or not.
HEY BVG can we buy neighbors again. Maybe we should trade and swap neighbors. Some dont work. LOL

No, I didn't buy them either. Just people I added or they added me. Ugh, I wish they would fix this bug!

They are buddies.
Are they facebook friends too or only buddies in the game?
that is important question.
If they are a facebook friend or (neighbor) they willl be on your Neighbor list at the bottom of your game area.
If they are neighbors you have to remove them differently.
A buddy is a person that has not been added as a neighbor.

If you "remove a person as a 'friend" on fb they will auto atically turn into a buddy in the game.
It was a way the game could stop you from accidently deleting a neighbor as it is really easy to do this.
I am a list nut so I have to have it just like that or I go nutty.

SO if they are a neighbor. You have to remove them as a Neighbor or friend in fb first. Then will they turned into buddy on the list. You will not see a parenthesis any more by their name.

Can you make catagories in your list. Just make a list and drag the inactives in a list for now. Call the list INACTIVE. Drag them in there.
At the very top on the wheel in the buddy list you can "hide all your off line peoples"
then only the onlines you see.
Do a nice list of your buddies.
Example for list
YoWorld Players
Gamers (those who like games and make makes)
Friends ( those you like to talk to)
INACTIVE (drag this list to the top so you will see if any come on line easy. Once you see them online put them in a new catagory.)
NOOBS ( those that are really new)
Welcome Back (those that were away a long time and came back)
Decorators
Sellers
Buyers
