People have visited my home and been kind and left gifts... how do I open these?

I did do a search in here and it brought up opening the treasure chests....that is not what I am talking about.

When someone sends you one of their own items as a gift to you it will automaticly be in your invotory . but you can see what they sent if you go to your message box and click the gift tab . it will show everything people send you . you might just see a bunch of wrapped presents so if you click the present picture it will show you what they sent .

I have the same question. I've been playing for 9 years, and it used to be that when you clicked on the package, it would open and automatically be added to inventory. It doesn't do that any more. The gifts remain in the gift tabs, and I can't get them to go to inventory.
Help?

Do you mean if someone sends you a gift in-game? To see those gifts you simply open your Guestbook(white envelope at the bottom of the screen) and go to the gifts section.
