Here is a guide of all scams that you should beware of whilst in YoWorld. Many of these are obvious, but for those of us that can't notice a scam straight away, here is a simple guide of what to beware of.Double Coins/Items
The person will ask you to give them your coins/items and they claim they will duplicate these. They will simply take your items and kick you. GamblingSome people do gambling events, and although all of these are not scams, many of them are. The person will get you to place a bet on a certain outcome on the wheel/dice and you would have to pay if you lose. If you win, you will be kicked almost straight away.
Trust Test
Some families do these to let you join them, however this is a scam. They will simply ask you to give something, usually of high value, then kick you from their home. Best gift wins ______The owner claims that they will give a certain item or amount of coins away to the person who gives them the best gift. Instead they collect the gifts then kick everyone from their house.
Large Lot Sales
These are hard to identify from the real and the fake. The owner would say they are selling everything in room or everything on them for a set price. They would ask you to pay the coins in the first trade, and then they would kick you after the first 12 items.Fake Music Players/Rideables/PetsThe owner would be selling an item in their room which looks like it could be a music player, rideable or pet. They would claim that it is whilst in a trade with you, even though it is just a decoration. You would pay a ridiculous price for what it is, as most of the time the item is still in the store. Some people hide real music players behind fake ones so it seems as if it is playing music - don't be fooled.
Trying on Scam
Someone may ask to try an item out, to see how it looks either on the person, or in the room. They would then kick you and delete you as a friend (if you were friends before). Never let someone "try" one of your items, even if you think you know them.Selling In-Store YoCashThis one isn't technically a scam, but still something to beware of. Someone will ask to buy YoCash off you, for something in-store and then ask you to buy it. After you have bought it, they would either leave the room or kick you, depending on who's home it was in.
Gift for Gift
Any form of gift for gift could be a scam - but it isn't always a scam. They would gift you something which could be classed as junk, then when you gift them back you may gift them something which has a significant value. Fees/Re-Enter FeesThese could also not always be a scam, but more than likely they are. They will let you enter/re-enter, host the event then give you the boot without a prize (if you win).
Whiteboard/Paintboard Art
The seller may claim to be selling you art on a whiteboard or paintboard, but instead they will just give you a blank. They would just hide the other one in their room instead of putting into inventory. Yet again, this is another which could be seen as legit and turn out to be a scam - just be aware of who you are trading with. I'm New/I've been ScammedYes this could be legit, but not always. The player would say they have been scammed or are a new player and would ask for free gifts or coins. This could obviously be a lie and they are just begging for stuff, or they could genuinely have had this happen to them. We'll never know...
