HI,
I am a returning player that hasn't played in many years. I am trying to retrieve the free items I received tonight for the survey, the HH teddy bear and the free HH train. I see it in my brown inventory box but cant find it in the red chair button when I click my stuff. I notice I have a lot of things in the inventory box that are not in the red chair button. So I am not sure how to use lot of my inventory thats not showing up in My Stuff. I have also clicked, show all in My Stuff.. and still a lot missing. Hope this makes sense and thank you for any help!

Welcome back to the game and to the forum~! We love returning players!

The "Red Chair" icon is for decor items. The "Shirt" icon is for wearable items. The Handheld items will be found in your wearable 'closet' under Accessories!

Thank you Smitten Kitten for your reply, I looked again under accessories , and I didn't scroll enough through it.. it was the first place I started.. Do you also know why some things in the inventory box isn't in the My Stuff in the Red Chair? Trying to get used to playing again, I think its been about 8 years! I'm having the same problem. I just came back after 5 years and I had a lot of things stored in my apt. I cleared it out and sent everything to inventory and it shows in the inventory but when I go to use it, it does not show up in my red chair tab. I also had like 45 old free gifts like toy robots and fruit cakes but when I want to gift them they are not there? Why??

alot of the old stuff isnt tradable/giftable in the game. things like barrel costume and pop shoes. I think it was done to prevent fakes but it was done by bvg it happens. but there isnt much you can do.

But yours not showing up may be a different problem entirelly

I am just returning to Yo World after being away for awhile and wow have things changed! It's all a bit overwhelming at the moment. I started playing on MySpace years ago then made the switch to Facebook. For a while I had the two linked but I don't know what happened with that, if it's still intact or not. BUT here is my problem: Trying to do the challenge today it says "Use the Laugh Action outside the ....." WHAT IS THE LAUGH ACTION AND HOW DO I GET IT? I would appreciate any help along the line of actions and how they work. Meanwhile I will be reading to see what I can find out about other returning players and what problems they've experienced. What an awesome thread to find!!

So Hi everyone. I love older players. I played in MS too. There was a migration and you had to do it right or you lost your items from my space.
The merger was that you could only have 1 account, either MS or FB. if you merged your ms, the MS would over write the fb Main account. Many of us players tried our very best to explain to players you could not make an alternate account on facebook or your ms items would be lost or your fb items would be lost. One over wrote the other one and only "MAIN ACCOUNTS" over wrote.

SO many tried to make second accounts on fb to transfer too and after being warned a million times by bvg and all of us parrots they many attempted any way to have 2 accounts on fb. They lost their things.

Also there was a time limit on this merger, with a set date. If a person came in after this date all items were "locked and sealed" by ms. There will be no retrieving your lost items there.

There was other ways to merger yourself by gifting your other player on fb or gifting others or trading others and then retrading yourself with your friends in fb.

SO now to the here and now. Many incredible things have changed since BVG took over. The best way to get entirely caught up is to listen to the "POD CASTS" I think you are about 40 + podcast behind.
Or you can just play the game and be wowed. that is the best way to do it. Just be wowed daily and allow the game to explode in you! its amazing.

Maybe I am just an old cynic But perhaps trading/gifting barrel costumes in particular was stopped because donning them was the traditional way to protest, & not having a costume totally stopped that sort of malarkey source?
