I used to play YoWorld (back when it was YoVille) several years ago. I had Facebook friends who played and had friended some people in game. Slowly players dropped away and eventually I did too.

I logged back in recently and remembered how much I enjoyed decorating places. I was a little sad that I had cleared out several rooms and given lots away before I quit, but I did keep some of favorite rooms and items and that was enough to make me think I wanted to start playing again.

A lot has changed! I am slowly navigating and figuring out the changes. However, all the friends and buddies I used to have quit playing years ago.

My question is what is the difference between buddies, friends and neighbors?

Also, how to I get buddies so I can complete the storybook task of being in public space with one of my buddies?

I've been searching and found some info on crew. Not sure I want to deal with that. I don't want to add a bunch of random people to facebook. It seems I can delete them after, but now the hot dog thing is confusing me. Also, trying to figure out if I do add people to facebook then delete, do they become my neighbors to visit and send/receive gifts?

Now I'm searching for Buddy info. I can see how to add buddies in game, but I don't want to annoy people by randomly requesting them as buddies. But for me, this is more a have fun decorating and dressing up not really a social need.

Since this board doesn't seem very active, I'm going to keep looking for answers as time allows. If you do stumble on this and have some insight, please share!

Hopefully more people will come in and help you understand how to.
a neighbor is one who is also a fb friend or acquaintance who plays yoworld.
a friend is a neighbor or a buddy you love to talk to, be with and just hang with. that takes on all forms of things in real and in the game.
As example, I am a Christian but not all Christians I am able to be friends with. I am also a republican but not all republicans I can be friends with and I have democrat friends.
I think a friend sees past religion and politics. I really do.
a buddy is one you buddy up with in yo to get points. they can become friends and they are more than a regular yo player.
Normally my buddys add something in the game I love, like they like to decorate and i get inspired by what they say or do. We are not friends as that religious divide is there or the political divide but they are nice people you kinda like to be around. they are normally nice.
I only keep mean buddies if they are good decorators. ISNt that terrible of me? I mean they put a lot of effort in this game and work hard so to me they dont have time to be too mean. YOU KNOW?

you have to have neighbors for hot dogs or else they do not work. these only are exclusive to people on your list who are your neighbors. HOWEVER, you can buy them.
go to factory every 5 hours and get hot dogs off fb collect hot dogs. for me I make 3600 a click in the factory with full hot dogs and 4 crew. the crew is from your fb real live players.

Thank you, that is very helpful. I am trying to decide how much I really want to connect with people on here. It was great when I had some real life friends playing, but that is gone now so it would be nice to talk with people who also enjoy the game.

Currently, I really love to decorate rooms so I am trying to build up coins so I can do that. There is so much more stuff in game now then there was when I played before. I'm sure it will take me a while to figure everything out. I really appreciate you taking the time to give me all that information :-)

I too have played and been on and offline: my friends who once played are now all gone as well. There are some updates to the game but once you figure out how to use them all, they're pretty helpful.

Among the most helpful new tools for me has been the auction house, found at the bottom of the screen by clicking on the gabble icon. The forum seems like a nice tool as well, and the people here try to be very helpful. Also, yoworld.net is available now for item searching. I found when coming back after a while, it was easier for me to be duped into paying more for items than they're worth. This page provides you with a decent guide on items and their worth for the auction house and the events people post.

Plus I may want to buy some stuff down the road. That site will definitely come in handy! I may even be brave enough to try to auction house soon

You can look up players and Id's too. I love that feature for secret gifting but so far my gifting has not been secret.. I keep myself in the constituents of rules so it is very difficult to do that and do things secret. 1 account plus real ID that is my main rule.

Also about AH- I do not mind paying a higher price at times and expecially If I know it is a very nice item. Some of these players have held on to items for years and it kills them to let it go. SO a value is set with what it goes for. Sometimes players put in and not want to sell but they want to see the cost of it so they put in millions so it cant sell. they only want to see what it is worth. Maybe they do not know of these 3 above sites. I dont know.. Wish Yoworld would put in these sites as look up places.
Also there is a fb page of this Yoworld and although I have not heard from them in ages, it also is a good place to add to your pages of likes.
Please be aware of "fakery pages, on facebook. try to stay within the game itself and not venture off.. BVG will not help you if you get hacked and many do by clicking bad links.

Here is some good advise. Never put in a password, gift info out. FB NEVER ASKS for you password. If you log out and log in , it does some sites send you to a fake fb page that looks and feels like fb and asks for a pw. it is very difficult to recognize. if you are ALREADY LOGGED IN. common sense says you do not need to log in again. Right?

I had someone help me in the game when I was a noob. I friended her in fb. With me having physical problems and I had just had a heart attack, I was weak, not thinking well. It took me a long time to stand up from a sitting position.
Yoworld (yoville) helped me to socialize and it was a very good way to keep me going.

I friended a lot of people from the game and I had no clue they had alternate accounts.
I did love and still do love that person. Have not seen her in years and years. All I know is i have way more trust issues then I had then and I advise against adding people from any game or anywhere unless they are real life.
in the event a platform could be made that would deem this safe, then I would add people and strangers again. Right now, fb says it is not safe and to keep out account safe is to not add strangers. FB was designed to get families and friends together not have a hatefilled political platform. People have used fb as a way to bash their relatives and i think fb needs monitors to put people at risk in a more secure area, like seniors, the sick, children, the vulnerable. They need to supervise thier platform. there thats my humble opinion.

it is on top or by the side.. that is your ID number in quotes. copy your number.

Now.. go to this site and paste it in there and it generates the apt link.

the hard way is to go to my own apt eye and copy my own link and replace the ID numbers with the id number of where you want to go. Again, the ID number is by the player name on top and at the side.
Its a lot more simple to do it by going to Yoworld info, instead.

My apartment does have teleport door that goes to my penthouse (one of the few things I spent real money on last time I played). That was my favorite place so I kept it mostly decorated just in case. I'm working on decorating the rooms I cleared out now. I am kicking myself for getting rid of a lot of my stuff.

While I certainly wouldn't turn down any gifts, I kept a lot of my favorite things so I'm not starting with nothing. Plus this go round I joined the lowest level of VIP. I want to have some YoCash. add your buddies as many as you like.
I would organize my buddy list
Your buddy list on the right is now organizable.
I think you can have up to 10 catagories.
As suggestion you can put
Friends
Maxing events
VIP Favorites
Trading friends
special people.
Great decorators
etc etc etc
I put absentees or MIA if over 2 weeks gone. Although you still can get gifts when you send to the non players I kinda like to keep healthy room for live players.
drag and drop them in your categories.

Thank you Isla! I sent a message back in game, but wanted to thank you here as well. I really like the brown hair (much more my normal style), but will probably rock my green for a bit since I like it with my current outfit. Also really loving the jacket and boots, but hanging on to those for down the road a bit
