I would like to find out how can I collect gifts that I have collect from awards that are sitting in my inventory so I can use them?

What gifts are you talking about, could you explain what you mean a little more?
Are you asking how to edit a room to place an item from your inventory into a room?
Or are you asking how to open up one of the mystery boxes that come with keys (free gifts sent by our friends)?
I don't understand what your question is but want to help if I can.

there a couple ways to claim prizes and I'm not sure which ones you are after so here goes a big fat list.
thats possibly all in the FAQ anyway.

You have the square cardboard box above your buddy ladder your "inventory", open that up and go to "special' to open chests and keys
you can also search in use items and ones that you are carrying about clothing, faces etc.

Or the big red chair is "edit room" loads of furniture prizes in there
HINT: never put new stuff down in a room thats already on level 10. You wont get level up points use unlevelled rooms for "NEW" items
Or if your prize is a clothing its in the clothing tab the Shirt
Gift Chests is in the top tab far top left I notice you've been playing since 09 so some of these prize options you possibly know already
but the gift chests tab is a little newer maybe 2015 I think .
There is also a LOG which is top tabs for right it will tell you what you recieved for visiting buddies and daily login bonus etc. Also any trades and gifts you have got
