A VPN, or Virtual Private Network, is a tool that encrypts your data and masks your IP address to protect your online privacy. VPNs create a secure connection between your device and a remote server, allowing you to browse the internet without your identity, location, or browsing activity being visible to others.

Thank you Smitten Kitten.
But how do I know what I have? The support team from Big Viking has asked me what my VPN is and my location so they can find out why I can't watch ads.

To find your VPN, you can check your device's settings or taskbar:

Android: Open Settings, tap Network & internet, then VPN. If you can't find it, you can search for "VPN".

Samsung: Go to Settings, then Connections, then More connection settings, then VPN.

Windows: Select the Network, Volume, Battery icon on the taskbar, then select VPN. You can also go to Start, then Settings, then Network & internet, then VPN.

You can also locate the VPN client in the task tray on a Windows 10 machine. To do this, you can:
Locate the time and date in the bottom right-hand corner
Move over to the left and click the chevron that points upwards
The VPN client is usually located within the task tray

You can tell you're connected to a VPN if:
The VPN connection name displays Connected underneath it on the VPN settings page
A blue shield displays on the taskbar
