I tried selling my Yorkie dog but it won't show up in my trade window? I searched Yorkie and I searched dog. I paid 20yc for the dog and I want to sell it. I need coins. So sick of having to sell all my stuff to keep up with needed coins but that's how it is now. Anyone know if BVG has made pet sales impossible? I already know you can't sell pets through the auction but this is a sale in my home. Am I doing something wrong in trade? Are just Yorkies banned?

I've sold a few pets, so I'm not sure what the problem would be. I have a yorkie. I could check to see if it shows up for a trade. Let me see who's on line to try it with.

I just traded with a friend and the yorkie showed up. So, IDK what the problem is?

Hi Bluezz, Yorkies should be tradeable, if yours is not i would try clearing your cache/cookies/history or try another browser to see if the prob still occurs(try IE or Mozilla or Chrome). If all that doesn't work send in a ticket to BVG inquiring about why you cant trade your dog. Good Luck!

Hi Blues this is going to be so stupid, so stupid of a reply. and an even sillier way to figure it out. IKR. We need the Dogs real name. It might be blal bla yorkei or Yorkie is spelled different. Go to the pet store and look at its Real name... It is possible 1 little letter is off. It wont be the first time zynga spelled something incorrect and players can find things for years. One of our items has a SPACE in the word. I forgot what one. Its nearly impossible to find.

The Yorkie dog was bought at a sale back when Yo was Yoville and it now shows as a starter item and although it shows in my inventory and I can place the dog, it does not show up in my inventory to gift or trade. I am not spelling it wrong or doing anything wrong. It is not showing up, period. Please fix this ty.

As I mentioned before, did you send in a ticket? We the players can only give your recommendations on what might be the issue. If you send in a ticket BVG will be able to help you, or at least tell you whats wrong with the dog. There have been a few items with problems that BVG still needs to fix ( eg. fixing rideables like the italian roadster, animating the water baloon machine again) so this might be another one of those issues.

You cannot sell pets in AH.

An answer:
Yes, you can sell pets at a sale. But your particular Yorkie is a "Starter Item", and that is probably the issue.

"Starter Item" and "Free Gift" - we're not allowed to sell, trade, gift, auction, etc.

So yeah, that Yorkie is probably stuck on your account unless BVG steps in. That Yorkie's history could have involved hacking in the past (before it became yours).



Notes:
The Jester Cats that offered to join your player back in the day were all Starter Items and thus never legitimately tradable. (Purple Striped Cat was the tradable in-store release)

Why aren't Free Gifts tradable? They once were, but it looks like they did a blanket measure to stop most of the 'hacked' Free Gift items from circulating throughout the game, though as a side effect you can't trade real Free Gifts anymore either.

Starter Items were never legitimately tradable.

Some tips and pitfalls on buying pets:
You won't know if a pet is licensed or even can be licensed when dealing with an unscrupulous seller. I know someone who demands to see the pet follow, which lowers the chances of being scammed a lot (but doesn't entirely eliminate them).

Some old pets (Dalmations are a popular one I can name off hand) had an issue with the licenses not sticking. You could buy one that is glitched and unable to be licensed.

A temporary license is 1,000 coins and more than sufficient (unless the pet is one of those glitched ones). A permanent license is 7 YoCash (a friend wasted a lot of YoCash trying to license a glitched Dalmation over and over again). Generally it seems that if the 1k license doesn't survive a refresh, the YoCash one won't either.

Training a newer pet requires 20 YoCash worth of biscuits. These trainable pets need all 20 biscuits before you can license them. That 27 YoCash difference is worth considering when buying an already trained and licensed pet.

Some pets, such as Bear and Rainbow Poodle visibly change (they grow up) when they are trained. If you want the baby versions of these particular pets, don't train them.

Yes, you cannot sell a starter Item. When I bought aprox 6 of these yorkies at the store with YoCash and wonder why they make these starter items. Do they make pet hoarders into starter items? What turns an item into a starter item?
It was not a starter item when I bought them 6 times or more and I still have all of them. Since they are starter items now, do I get my yo cash I paid for them back? If not, I find that highly unfair.
