I get such a kick out of seeing all the different outfits out there...from the classy to the insane silly. I get chuckle from reading the posts about what is cool or not to wear...That's the glory of Yoworld. Everybody has a different agenda....and it all works together in one cool game for whatever reason you Yo's want it to.

I don't dress to be cool. I only have a few outfits I commonly wear. It's a personal thing to me. But it gets me to wondering... what is it to everybody else? Why do you wear the outfits you do? What is it about each specific outfit you love? I would love to see some of your favorites and know why you wear them.
I'll show you what I mean.

Me? I grew up in a military school. It left...lets just say....a lasting impression. I have a Cadet Yo that cracks me up. I very very rarely wear this outfit though, as most would know not know why I wear it and it looks kinda Nazi-ish. Still, I love it....it makes me laugh. I currently have someone making me a siggy that will show why I wear this sometimes so it doesn't accidentally offend anyone...as it will be a lot more obvious it's Cadet Grey.



My military school happens to be in Roswell, NM. A lot of us are familiar with Roswell and what happened there back in the 40's. The long term results are not so well known though. My Yo-Cadet is part alien, and she usually wears sunglasses to hide it as it's pretty noticeable when she takes them off.



I LOVE Sci-Fi....The space them is my favorite! When my Yo is at home on her ship, she can truly let her alien come out. This outfit is my nemesis. I want to wear my cape with it. I love this cape. Alas, the shirt does not allow it. If i move at all while playing, my shirt disappears and my Yo-boobies are hanging out for all to see. I did put in a ticket. They did say they will try to fix it.



I love archery and I love reading about the Plains Indians. In real life I shoot a primitive Apache bow with handmade rivercane arrows. I have to have my white girl Yo-Indian. (Absolutely no offense to the true Native Americans, I hope they can see my sense of humor)
My gripe here? Some of my friends call me One Bow Girl...because I love to shoot so much. When I hold a bow in Yo, my warpaint disappears. It's maddening. I chose to hold my M1903 Springfield instead. We had those issued to us in military school. It's cool...but not as cool as a bow. Dangit!



The real me. I love hockey. I am a jeans and t-shirt girl. My team is the New York Rangers. Since I cant wear a Ranger jersey....well... I like Red. Red works. This is just actually fairly accurate of what I'd wear to the grocery store this afternoon. Minus the sun glasses. I've never found a pair of sunglasses that cool in real life.



PS.... Notice the sun glasses inside the ship on this military man. This guy is an Alien in disguise. I promise you. (shhhhh.... don't tell anybody)

I mostly dress 'normal' to slightly silly. I don't like the freaky looking outfits at all... some of them are just... yuck, lol. But to each his or her own. I just love playing around with outfits.

I was gonna make this same outfit, intending on it to look like a German officer... few different HH's though ;D

Loved the story about why you dress the way you do.

I usually dress to fit in with whatever home I have as my default. Since it's now summer, I'm currently showing off my Underwater home, so I'm dressed in my swimsuit. I'm not a fashionista, so my wardrobe is limited. I find most of the clothes are too outrageous for my tastes. I like to wear dresses and am always looking for facial features (lips, nose, eyes).

I have no particular reason for wearing what I wear. Sometime I come across an item and think "ummm, haven't worn that in ages" and it goes from there. I've got so much stuff that when I'm scrolling to find something to go with whatever I have on, it seems I get stuck around the same place in my inventory and never make it thru the last half, so I tend to forget whats there.
