Loie these are incredible. The backdeck is probably one of the prettiest rooms I've seen in this game. I adore it. Would you mind sharing what the large windows are called?

Thank you so much Darla!
Those windows are hard to find and from the miniature Christmas EDE2021 gem event, they originally did not layer over items so were difficult to use but after the layering tool came out, they are one of my favorite windows. So tall and not so miniature (I guess they go with the giant cat from that theme).

My Gnome Home
My good friend Skull created my NPC on paintboards for me, with the help of the artistic Rod Serling, so I was able to add him to my rooms since these photos were created
I really want to do more on this house.. a project to continue

I have to say, that my gnome looks a lot like my graduate school professor/advisor... he was a crazy man! (wildlife biologist with a twisted sense of humor) :haha: every time i look at a larger image of that avatar i think of him LOL
this man was too large to be an actual gnome but had the look and body type and big head like this avi :haha:

Wowww! I thought your initial rustic home was amazing, but the layering you’ve done in these two rooms are something else, it really does tie all the rooms together and everything is just so homeyy, and I lovee how ‘busy’ these two rooms are, especially with all the pets and their various sleeping spots lolol

My . . G R A N D M O T H E R ' S . . . H O U S E

My grandmother's house was filled with good memories, hoards of amazing things, instruments hiding in every corner, there are so many memories of music (almost all of the family played instruments, we formed orchestras at every large gathering, or string quartets or trios on smaller gatherings), making lemonade or picking guavas and mulberries from her trees, to playing with cousins in the huge backyard. It also seemed haunted, my grandmother said that Chopin would visit often, and my sisters would hear the piano playing in the mornings when sleeping over, before my grandmother woke up. I took a lot of freedoms in trying to bring this house into yw, I used the Country Charm house because the front looked the most like her blue siding wall panels. I had to recreate that panel using paintboards for the rest of the outdoor rooms. The shapes of rooms and details are not exact, but the feeling is there, especially with the living loom where there were 2 grand pianos back to back for two-piano works, and room for a string trio. Once yw gets a boxer dog I will be editing these rooms to include the boxer. There were replacement boxers when one would die. My grandmother always said it was the same dog but we knew. I'll probably be editing this post a lot, when items come in that work better, or to add more details. P.S. the darkroom and the cellar were two rooms I never got to see. I knew they existed but they were off limits. Probably too many black widows in the cellar. If I can get some artwork onto paintboards, I might do a room devoted to the photography taken at this house, much of it colorized. Any paintboard forumers out there who can help would be greatly appreciated. TY for reading.

Update on June 6: Sadly, the paint boards have been erased. I will not be able to redo the house and it no longer looks like my grandmother's house on the outside. The cellar in particular cannot be recreated using a wall tile (if they even come out with a blue siding wall tile in the future), the only way to recreate that siding is with paint boards. Eleven of 18 rooms have been messed up. :'(

I am glad I created images of this house before it was too late.

The Dark Room (this was a mysterious room, somewhere within the house, I never got to see it, probably because of chemicals and
photos I was not allowed to see LOL, so I took the leeway of creating this room in honor of there being a couple really good photographers
in the family). It was a fun challenge to try to create a dark room in yw, thanks to all who contributed ideas for how to create the equipment.
Thanks to those who sent gifts and paintboards, and also to Mary YED for the idea on how to get the enlarger projecting the image.

Ugh sorry about the paint boards Loie it's such a shame :'( however I'm so glad you've got pictures here so we can see your home in its entirety, the details are perfect and the home is truly a wonderful experience

Thank you so much Alana (fellow musician)!
I got my screenshots and animated movies taken just in the nick of time! June 1st, and paint boards were gone by June 6th. Whew!
since this house took me so many months to complete, that was a miracle i got the images in time.

It was a tedious project to add those lines but it wasn't the same kind of loss as others had with their hand drawn art, or gifts from friends.
My gnomes are gone, but I have the outfits saved (if they ever give us a way to create NPCs from our looks, i will do it in the future) and I also got pictures of my rooms with the gnomes before they poofed. I will replace my images in this thread with those when I get the gifs made.

Thank you for your comment on my darkroom, that was so fun to make. My uncle was a professional photographer. I have yet to know where in the house he developed his photos. My grandfather also took photos (lots that us grandkids were never supposed to see LOL). My brother caught the passion as well and became a professional photographer. Regarding the loss of the paint boards, the inside rooms that just have a small amount of outside wall showing are not too impacted. I don't enjoy visiting the exterior rooms that show just blue wall anymore though, the blue siding was a large part of what made it resemble her house. If they come out with some wall panels I probably will fix the rooms that I can, and just take the cellar as is. The bathroom actually looks better w/out those lines complicating it, when I added them i thought "does it look better or worse?" ugh but i left them in because i'm a stickler for consistency and it was a ton of work. i cannot even get myself to pull all the paint boards out yet, just in case they can restore them. i highly doubt it but for now, it doesn't matter.

oh well!

still looking forward to some blue siding tiles and possibly some boxer dogs in game.

Thank you again!
