peace YSC (8402046) wrote:Just checking to be sure I haven't missed anything here. :) I want to fill my current piggy bank up before the opportunity goes away in a few hours. I decided I may as well buy items for decorating since I've gotten discouraged a few times because I kept running into things I wanted that were yc. However, now that I'm prepared to purchase, I can't remember what items. Can you suggest any that are good to have in general? I'm particularly interested in anything to do with natural elements. What items do you consider to have a big bang for the buck, so to speak?

For starters, I think that piggy bank deal is a waist of money. You get more for your money if you just buy YC outright from my understanding of how it works.
Waterfalls. You can make ponds, lakes and rivers for the most part. there are lots of trees, water, critters and stuff for coins. Waterfalls seem to always be YC.

Well, I didn't do the bank after all, but I did purchase a bunch of items. I got the waterfall and river pieces (I had gotten one from a friend and got one from the calendar event and bought a couple more) from the Safari Adventure, rainforest theme. I bought the Banff national park lake and a mini Niagra falls and a hot springs. I have some animals, but I can't remember which ones go to what themes. lol At least I've got a start on something. Thanks!

thats awesome, but remember it is best to purchase them from edit as you decorate. at least until you get to know what type of landscapes you like best doing. It is cheaper in a way as you are not sitting on items you might never use and later wish you had the 'money' for something else instead.
When I am decorating, I mix themes all the time as many items compliment other items from different themes very well; not to mention, most themes do not have enough items in them to complete a project in my opinion.
anyway, sounds like you have a good start.
Have you been practicing on your yodoodles?

Home made waterfall using Ice Palace wall tile and two water streams. I am impressed with how it turned out.
