The first thing thing I wanted to learn was how to do the sky. So, thats where I will start.
You can use many things to make a sky.
The room you start in helps with how many items you need to use. In my example picture in the first post, I used the ocean Ave. I have also used the different snow and water aves along with the desert ave.
Fluffy snow make the best clouds. Water, oil, sand and colored tiles help with color and shades.
Sun beans help blend and soften edges.
Layering with some items can be an issue. When I run into this and can't make it work, I move on to try a different item before it makes me irritable.
But most times you can make it work by shifting your items around a little bit.
My first and best tip: Yo-doodling
Open to edit mode and use what ever you want from the stores and play around. Then hit the cancel button when you are done. This way it don't cost you anything while you are learning and decide what you like to work with best. If You like what you created and can afford it, then by all means, buy it. Thats the beauty of Yo-doodling.
Remember to take a screen shot before you cancel your yo-doodle and share it with us.
Any questions?

making a multi level 3D look
Image
Use smaller objects at the top and larger as you go down the picture. Make use of portions of an item rather than the whole item mid way down and at the bottom to give the depth and multi level look.

I'm guessing this idea is a no hitter, therefore I will not be continuing unless I get a response otherwise in this thread. I have a lot of Yo-Projects going and do not want to be waisting yours or my time on something that has no interest or interaction from other Yovilians. thank you

Dont be discouraged by a lack of response in creators corners Peachy
a lot of ppl use forums from the View your own posts links Some ppl dont respond at all
I usually look at the number of views not the number of comments :)

I will try to keep that in mind, thank you.
I was looking at it with the thought people are looking at it but no one was responding, so there was no interest. Besides the fact it makes me feel like I am talking to myself

I see that. and I thought the basement (general discussion) was the quiet room in the forum. but I have to admit, this is my first venture into this room and its threads. Thank you very much for advising me on how it goes in here

Ok, lets talk about this picture. It is a new project I am working on. It still needs tweaks and adjustments, so I feel I am far from done on it.
What are your thoughts? what would you do with it from this point?
