These days there are sky and water tiles available in the furniture store and Yo depot, but I see so many beautiful room creations in which decorators made their own water and sky from scratch.
Not decorating that often, I am very out of the loop as to which items can be used to make them.
Would love to learn how to. If anyone has any tips and suggestions, I'd appreciate it a lot.

I was hoping someone would have replied by now.
I too would love to know what decorators use to make a water scene .
I want to make a room that resembles my favorite place in the Adirondack mountains.
I can't figure out how which items to use to make water to look like a pond.

Hi I would have replied sooner but been on holiday.

These are what ive been using for water lately they layer nicely and take the oil splotches so you can add shade to the edges.

or these sand tiles

for this sky I used the top part of the sunset sky tile hiding the red part

if you search water, puddles or patches different things pop up to use , hope this helps a bit

I think Hanzo has some tutorials on how to make water and sky.

Thank you for sharing these, Scorpion.
They all look lovely
Question: in the picture with the castle in the sea and the underwater sand patches, which item did you use for the waterfall?

Not an expert but I've seen people use the yellow sand with oil splotches to make an orange sky
Actually, the oil splotches (from Yo-Depot) also go great with puddles and water tiles to give it more depth. I don't have examples though since I recently destroyed most of my rooms
