These are just some of my yoworld theme dreams that I can share with others that have come true through theme suggestion threads hosted by the vikings.

Players like you and I have the opportunity to post descriptive theme or release requests, & for any players who might not be aware I figured I would outline a few pointers.

Like this thread here:

viewtopic.php?f=2&t=230757

or this one here:

viewtopic.php?f=2&t=210301

For any players who wonder how we get to see themes that players request I would like to share my tips & experiences on how to leave a theme suggestion in the appropriate place(s) that catches the eye of the Vikings ahead of schedule.

1. Players who want to see their dream themes come true, I recommend posting your thoughts in the correct places for it to be seen by the Vikes! Singular discussion threads get buried, and a suggestion here may not be recovered by the team. That's why I don't post it here. I strongly encourage you look for Viking hosted threads for your utmost ideas. Keep in mind, new sticky threads are also your greatest ticket, held to update the old ones, prompting fresh eyes on a new suggestion thread, that is a good time to strike with your ideas. Shouting them from the rooftops and then bailing works too.

2. Is your personal theme request something you can share some extra details on? "I want" or "Why can't we ever get" works to get the idea across in the aftermath. But if you'd like the Vikings to put consideration in to your theme request or idea, it helps to give them details. Like a theme's time-period, screenshots of your theme ideas, a structural narrative, or at the bare minimum, an outline to describe your theme. If your request is not cohesive enough, or is just scatter-shot screenshots of all different sizes, it might not build a reasonable case to distribute the theme. Organization does wonders to help get your ideas & opinions across as clear as possible.

3. Lastly on a personal note an optimistic and non-expecting demeanor has got me everything I have ever got here, I've never expected anything, and only post my ideas for fun. It's yielded the best results in helping Bvg realize my theme goals. Not thinking only for myself has brightened the game for some of my peers as well. So I can't stress that enough, post your idea with details in the correct places for the best chance to see your theme or item dreams become a reality. Thanks for reading, and good luck to your theme dreams. Also a thank you of course to BVG.

Thank you for all the themes above that you suggested -- I have enjoyed them all!

I also appreciate your comprehensive descriptions and pictures that you put into your theme requests since it often helps your fellow players as well as the Vikings understand the possibilities in a theme design.

this was my suggestion-altho mostly I had wanted an abandoned library with all old items and cobwebs and shelfs of books left behind.
BVG took it and ran with this one-which was alright and I know which thread to post it in-I too just added my ideas for fun!

Thank you, May. I appreciate seeing the outcomes of your creativity through the themes I've showcased or in general here too. Thanks for realizing the intent @ bolded as well. In a game that welcomes (or should) identity, & creativity. I felt it was important to remind players through suggestions that there can be more than, & more to the norm.

I was thrilled for that abandoned / urban exploration theme, & for you, myself & everyone looking forward to it. It was beautiful. Every theme means something to someone & bvg capitalizing on our interests when they're shared is a venture, when people give them the creative fuel or creative license to do so. It's fun, I hope other players give it a try too. It's productive when players do so, so thank you for contributing.

Anything with better color palettes lol. I hate these dusty colors they have used all yr. I need items that match my past items not this hot mess of pale colors they are currently using. I don't buy it.

Whatever happened to Anthony?

I remember when he would make his scifi and "punk" theme suggestion threads with detailed pics and descriptions... all long before BVG ever asked people for their opinions. Now those were awesome threads that resulted in most of our scifi themes.

I don't mind neutral colors, but I hope you get your wish soon & Halloween is right around the corner, too. (Exciting)

Modern Brutalist Architecture theme.

Brutalist architecture usually features types of visually heavy edifices with geometric lines, solid concrete frames, exaggerated slabs, double height ceilings, massive forbidding walls, exposed finished concrete, and a predominantly monochrome palette.

Brutalist buildings are characterised by minimalist constructions that showcase the bare building materials and structural elements over decorative design. The style commonly makes use of exposed, unpainted concrete or brick, angular geometric shapes and other materials, such as steel, timber, and glass, are also featured.

Brutalist buildings prioritize function over form, and stripped-back minimalism over flashy design. Raw materials, textured surfaces, simple silhouettes and geometric shapes are the hallmarks of Brutalist interior design. The trend comes from the post-mid-century era which celebrated grandeur, glam, geometric forms and repetitive patterns. (Clothing can be up to interpretation)

This is how detailed my suggestion was for Concrete Retreat, incase you'd like an idea of what kind of presentation Bvg accepts for theme suggestions. I think you did fine! You posted in the appropriate place, added details, and that's all bvg asks for us. Since I've posted this thread, there has been a few more in depth theme suggestions. So I'm glad to see this thread is beneficial. Good luck. :)

Thank you! I'm just frustrated, I've had ITEMS put in the game quite a bit, (several for Realm of Shadows, some for the Goth themes, some for Green Haven, the glowing gerbera daisies for the Forest Festival event, and no credit given) but my full theme suggestions have not made it in game yet! :eh: :dizzy: o_o I was so close with my Necromancer's Lair for Halloween too! :nerd:

I'm super frustrated with their process. I think back when they let the players vote, a lot of mine got shut out. I just don't have the energy to put it all back in here again - only to watch it be ignored for eternity. I was nice and I was detailed. But nope. It is what it is now.

They can do whatever it is they think they need to do, and they can also wear the consequences of it all. Hopefully most of them are beneficial.

I understand. I've been submitting stuff to zynga/bvg since 2011. It takes patience, time, reevaluations of your pitch, and doing it out of fun and not immediate satisfaction. I've had my ideas not heard plenty, plenty, plenty of times. So i've been through the process of *still trying* several times before ever seeing results. It took me years. So don't feel discouraged. Do it for the fun.

The issue I have comes from what you said the other day. There are numerous players that are quiet and don't use the forums because of the environment and cliches. I've been talking to some friends of mine... pro pageant hosts, asking why they left and they've told me they can't host pageants anymore without drama arising. They have some theme suggestions but have been driven away by harassment either on here or in game. There are a lot of missing opinions that are not being heard because of the current environment. I advocate the forums on the game and most just say "they stay away" for the reasons I've listed. I've stepped away from hosting pageants myself for these reasons. They are hardly a thing anymore.

Yes I remember the other day you agreed with me when I explained that not all the quiet players are quitters. Some of us play quietly, we deliver feedback, and try to stay on topic. Etc. I agree with ya also. Overall my prompt was to include my thoughts on how to post proper requests. I wish you luck on your endeavors concerning pageants.

I am going to request this thread be moved to yo-creators corner so that feedback could be left here at any time if necessary.

Other things to consider for your theme ideas

What kind of architecture is your theme idea?
What kind of estate, specifically?
What kind of interior design style?
These are some of the kinds of things I hope players focus on while leaving theme suggestions in the future in the appropriate threads.

My pageant endeavors are retired. I've learned I was one of the last pro pageant hosts to still play Yoworld. The area of pageants is dead as of now. I would think BVG would appreciate us pageant goers more for giving creativity to the game and utilization of the massive number of releases they push out.

Thank you to the moderator who moved this thread for me when I asked. I am hoping this thread can be seen and utilized constructively, should players find it in the aid of creativity, -it may be best served here.

Players are welcome to include their thoughts on this thread but if you'd like bvg to read it I'd refer to my original post in this thread. Hopefully the players who appreciate this kind of ambition can make use of it.Thank you.

I read your Mage Eternal outline and my initial thoughts was I was hoping you'd have included photos with your idea, particularly to differentiate it visually from Realm of Shadows or any of the other Fantasy themes. By now they know what is selling, and they know how to provide it. Good luck

Don't let ppl slience you. Just stick to the topic and tune the rest out or disagree in a way you don't break the rules.
Life is as such that if you are not assertive you get pushed to the side.
Don't let others stand in your way. It's unproductive. Over ppl playing the victim about why they can't do something just do the thing.
Of course you can. I mean are the opinions of ppl on a game forum so important that you can't post, that ridiculous imo.
What other ppl think is of no difference just get your opinions out there.
People worry to much about what other ppl think or do.
I mean no shade I just am trying to encourage ppl as you can't get into a fight if you don't respond to someone and anyone can post just don't break the rules. It's the internet tune the haters out. Don't bother with the haters and don't let them bother you. Ppl yell at me here all the time. That fine I usu don't go back to threads I comment on lol. Eh it's a game forum lol. Don't get pushed aside on a game forum.
No one on their computers at home is going to effect what I do.
