Welcome 2 the Jungle: Steampunk and Modern Getaways (13 images)

When the Jungle Theme came out, I was blown away. It was not what I was expecting and the colours and furnishing captivated me.
So, I decided to decorate both the Coin Version and the Cash Version as a way to connect my Steampunk world to my Muggle world in Yo.

To the Steampunk Entrance...

I've always wanted to use the Metal Horses and this was the perfect place to do so. The side path leads to the Modern Jungle Retreat.
We shall go through the Steampunk Doors instead.

Welcome to the Steampunk Jungle Sanctuary! The exterior has been remodeled adding elements of art deco, art nouveau, decopunk and steampunk items to give it an authentic feel. There is a lot to see in do in this small space...cooking, dining, lounging and relaxing in the steam bath.
Let's head inside...

This is one of my favourite rooms. I wanted it to be opened, yet to capture the imagination. Creating a loft bed area was essential to setting the mood, with dining beneath the bed. I got the alcove in auction which set the stage for the room and everything else...the corner bathroom, the music area, the bar eating...fell into place. For me, this is a magical space in-game and a great place to hang out when I'm designing outfits, watching videos or hanging with close friends in Yo.
There is a Jungle Pass between the Steampunk Jungle Sanctuary and the Modern Jungle Retreat homes. Let's head that way!

I mainly created this space as a home for Shadow...my pet Jaguar.

It also became the perfect place to put the Interactive sleeping lion (Leo). Eventually, this passage will lead to a Jungle Hideaway Bar. But for now...it's a passageway between the Steampunk and Modern jungle homes.
To the Modern Jungle Retreat...

Welcome to the Modern Jungle Retreat! As you can see, I re-faced the house to stylize it a bit. I wanted to use more wood and didn't want the see-through glass windows at the house front. There is a Golden Monkey atop the gazebo the hubby and I named Cyril. He tends to follow us through most rooms in the house, because he's the curious sort.

So, sit for a moment and take things in and enjoy a drink before we head inside.

This is the Lounge entrance. I added windows to each room (except the bathroom) so you can enjoy nature throughout the home. This room has an amazing view, with seating to enjoy it. There is also a small office alcove and a general living room sitting area.
Let's head left to the Dining Hall.

The dining hall also has a nice view. You can sit in the garden and swing to relax or improve your culinary skills in the kitchen. There is also a cozy seating area that allows you to enjoy a good drink and the view.
Next we head upstairs to the Music Lounge.

I decided to turn the landing into a space to enjoy and make music. This room started with the piano I got in Auction at a good price and that amazing lilac cabinet (which I splurged on in the store and spent a little Yo Cash). It was worth it! I love this space.
To the Bedroom...

I only created one bedroom for this house, as it is meant to be a private and cozy getaway for 1 or 2.

This bedroom has a "bird" theme because of the mounted light sconces, the blue wall art and the pink flamingo chandelier. I decided to create a window scene filled with birds (some animated) to capture the spirit of the room.
Shall we briefly visit the bathroom? Let's do.

This is a rather deluxe Jungle Bathroom Suite. Take a minute to take it in.
Just two more spaces to share. This way!

I decided to repurpose the second bedroom into a Kitchenette. I thought it was better to have a Kitchenette upstairs since there is a rooftop swimming pool and as easy access to the bedroom. I have to thank my wonderful Yo friend, Aimee. She's an amazing designer. Seeing her Jungle Bedroom with floor-to-ceiling windows inspired me to decorate this house and to include one room with all around windows. You'll notice that Cyril is sitting on the rocks seeing what we we ar up to. I added a door so you can sit on the rocks and visit with him, sharing bananas!
And lastly...(my favourite space in this entire home)...the Rooftop Swimming Pool!

For me, this place is heaven! I loved the orange and green tones and it's a rather nice place to hang out with friends too!
I hope you enjoyed this Jungle tour! Have a great day in and out of Yo!
