Back in the year 2000, my mom was an Anna Paquin fan. Naturally, she watched the X-Men movie. Ever since I was a kid, my mom buys me stuff that she thinks I'll like. :D So, she got me some X-Men comics. I did read those as a child. Looked at the panels, is more like it because I didn't know how to read back then. Haha! :haha: Anyway, years later... we were cleaning out some stuff at our other house and found my old comics. I found several 90's X-Men issues and especially X-Men #4 which is a key issue. The bad part is, the pages were stuck together and we had to throw them away. For a few years now, I've been trying to get back all of the comics I had to throw away. I found some online, ordered them, but I won't be getting them until the quarantine period ends. Which sucks. o_o This here, below, is the semi-valuable issue of X-Men that I had to throw away. :cold:

I wish I would have collected something like that when I was younger, I have a nephew that has collected them for years but I have no clue what he has.

Your mother taught you well :trophy:
My brother in law got a sweet, super heroes comic collection. All in spanish tho. As Willow, I wish I collected them. Now, it is not an option for me, since I try to minimize my material possesions (I have watched way too many videos of minimalism)
But good for you Mauiencar!

Thank you! :D I'm kind of doing a little bit of minimalism myself, though. I am only rebuying the old comics I really, really want, if that counts. :haha:

I have some of those, too! :D I started to collect those at a different time, though. Sometime when I already knew now to read. ;)

I don't really collect comics much but I do like to read them. I am not very much into the superhero stuff, although I like Spiderman, Daredevil and Punisher. I like graphic novels, and darker stuff like Preacher and Sin City. When I was young I collected a comic called Lady Death, and a spin off called Evil Ernie - that was from Chaos Comics who got bought out and eventually went under so those titles are not around anymore. I have quite a lot but it would be cool to search out the issues I missed!

Maui! Good to see you bud, hope you're safe and well.

I love manga and and sadly, we don't have any way to get them here except ordering and shipping prices are outrageous, so I use online readers. My favorite app was recently taken down tho, I haven't found anything similar to keep reading but maybe someday. :silly:

I like Daredevil and Punisher comics, too! My mom used to get me those whenever there weren't any X-Men comics available. :D There are also some comics that I'm looking for that are out of print, I know how you feel.

Hiiiii, Kiraaaaa! It's so good to see you, too! I AM safe, but not mentally well, lmao. :haha: Hope you're safe and well, too! ;)

Anyway, I used to read mangas, too, back in 2012 or something. I kind of stopped when I found my old comics and got back into my superhero stuff. :silly:

I like anime too, but find it easier for me to focus on reading than watching stuff. I'm mostly into dark and weird stuff but it has been really long since I last opened anything. I guess last thing was 3rd chapter of Kasane but can't really be sure, I still haven't found a proper backup site with all the things from my to-read list and my search isn't really going anywhere because of all the online assignments at uni.

Which anime do you like?

I hear you, I miss a bunch of people and my normal student life, can't wait for things to go back to... at least somewhat normal. :silly:

I had a brief superhero phase in 2018, not a comic one tho - I watched nearly whole available Flash and Legends of Tomorrow series. Then, my ex decided to spoil few ending episodes and I was so pissed and annoyed that I quit watching LOL
I hate spoilers so much omg :wailing:

I'm not so much an expert, but I like all the mainstream ones, like Tokyo Ghoul, Full Metal Alchemist, Bleach, Death Note, Castlevania... there's a new one on Netflix I want to watch called 7 Deadly Sins. I've also watched Berserk, Razhephon (sp?), and Neon Genesis Evangelion a loooong time ago. And all the Studio Ghibli films.

There's a crazy series I saw at a convention, I can't remember the name of it but it's about a yellow smiley face creature that runs a school for young assassins and his students have to try and kill him... I love quirky things like that!

Name is Assassination Classroom! Quite intuitive and straightforward, right? :haha:
I haven't read it yet but I heard it's one of the best assassin genre things there.

Neon Genesis Evangelion is a bomb, I rewatched it some time ago and it's still as beautiful as it was the first time.
My friend told me to watch Fullmetal Alchemist and I have it downloaded but just can't start with it, there's always something else I pick up and forget about it. Of popular things, I watched Psycho-pass, Steins;Gate and That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime last year. We don't have access to Netflix here as far as I know.

I suck at keeping up with long series, up to ~24 episodes/100 chapters is bearable but it's just becoming a pain afterwards unless it's really interesting so I mostly watch and read short series or the ones which aren't so season-to-season cohesive so it doesn't matter if you watch one and then take a two-year break before watching other season.
I love meeting other anime or manga fans, it always seems like I'm the only insane person wherever I go. :haha:
