I'm happy today because my orthopedic surgeon has decided to not fight me about getting hip replacement surgery because I'm "too young". He finally recognized that age is just a number and, sometimes, genetics usurp society's idea of how old a person should be before getting joint replacement. I get my life back!

I'm smiling today because I was able to get all my shopping for supplies for my upcoming hip replacement surgery done in one trip to town and we were able to get into the handicapped parking spots.

My sibling forgot my age today, just couldn't fathom it that I could be that age :haha:

. And about a week two ago, a cashier say "Little Sister, would you like to buy this add on". I was thinking in my brain, "I'm old enough to be your mother" Lol

I wish you all the best for your surgery ! Will there be someone with you?
In my adult life I had one minor surgery only so far, but was scared nevertheless.
A friend brought me to the hospital ,had to run a few errands in between, but returned when I was ready to go home.
It was only an umbilical hernia procedure,after which you only have to stay in hospital for a few hours.

I am happy because the new recipe for cheesecake muffins that I tried today worked out just fine.
Can't wait to try them and bring them to work.
With my husband not here, i can't possible eat an entire cake or set of muffins by myself.
So I share with my colleagues.
