OH MY LAWD. You have no idea how much I enjoy learning about new foods. You just blew my afternoon getting me to look at recipes. That looks absolutely delish. What time is dinner again?

It's a crowd-pleaser for sure Rod :D

You should give it a go - promise you that although a bit labour-intensive (you have to brown the lamb, then the onions and slice the potatoes thinly) it's really not difficult.

And stews are very forgiving.......hope you give it a whirl, you won't be sorry

Hope you feel better soon! I'm coming down with something right now, or trying to fight it off anyway  I'm lucky to have a guy who cooks and is a good cook. He made steak and a salad tonight.

Everyone's stuff looks so yummy! Next time I make something, I'll try to get some good pics to share here. I've been wanting to make beef stew actually, so that will be one of my upcoming projects. It's also been too long since I've made my meat sauce for pasta, lasagna I use the same sauce for, and chili. I'll be doing those, and might try making a shepherd's pie.

I'm so surprised this thread didn't take off. It's a loooooong staple thread at every other forum I'm on.

Good thing I searched before starting it. :haha:

I'm all for restarting it! We had snow for the first time in 5 years yesterday, so I whipped out the chef knives. This is hatch chili crappie filet with steamed veggies and an avocado lime crema......

OK, I'm in! But hubs is cooking now, so I don't have a pic.

Simple pasta with red sauce and hot sausage tonight. He's the comfort food cook and I'm the ingredients on the ceiling cook.

Last night I tried this fish recipe for pan fried fish in a lemon butter meunière sauce. Came out exactly like the ones I tried when I visited New England.

I've seen a few restaurants with ChiliMac on their menus, so I decided to try my own version. I cannot convey just how flavorful and tasty this is. And it is perfect with corn chips. I'd serve it to the Queen.

That looks good!
I take pictures. Then I don't do anything with them. :haha: I am SO lazy about Imgur. I'm spoiled by my forum where you can just upload the pics directly.

I make it from scratch: buy a big chicken breast and ask the seller to clean it. No skin or bones.
Put it in a pot with a cup of rice, potatoes, zucchinis, and carrots cut in big chunks. Add half an onion, garlic, salt and pepper to taste and cook.

Delicious! :D

This sounds delicious
