Thank you, Robyn!!

Well, to be frank I don't believe in all these readings. We are partly responsible for our own fate and should never give up making efforts to prevent possible calamities happening to us and to our loved ones.

To be frank, Stardust, I knew you would come into this thread and deny a belief in "all these readings". Perhaps I'm a psychic or perhaps I've just got used to you putting down anything that is beyond your plane of knowledge or experience, which you have pointed out repeatedly only relies on proven science. However, science and spirit, physics and metaphysics, conscious and subconscious are not mutually exclusive and actually work together to present to us this world we experience.

At any rate, the person who read your coffee grounds would never be considered anything other than a scam artist. The first rule of divination club is that you never tell a person that they or a relative is going to die. They not only don't have that knowledge, as the universe and fate and we are always in a state of change, but it is just pure bad form.

In actuality, when reading the tarot or other forms of divination, all one is doing is using them to help access the subconscious mind, where all knowledge, beliefs, memories, experiences, fears, etc are stored. They are just a tool/visual aid to help bring that knowledge over to the conscious mind to help one gain insight or clarity to help themselves. No one is asserting their will over another and everyone can do with the information what they will.

One can get the same (or even better) insight by practicing meditation or using hypnosis or going to therapy The other tools, though, can be helpful for people who can't readily achieve a relaxed, meditative state and cost less than a psychiatrist. Plus, they are fun.

Umm ok a little extreme lol

I read cards rune stones Ive had Hypnosis and actually they dont work unless the user wants them to work. I dont believe in a lot of hokum either.
The first rule of divination club is actually never to allow any form of payment to cross the table. :)

Also its a cultural joke in turkey to pretend to read coffee grinds because Turkish coffee is so strong and has so many grinds they serve it with a bottle of water to rinse when your done.

Lighten up :) <<< and i do say that with a smile not a scowl

And to be frank again, Lori, I knew at least one person would post here saying they already knew I would post in this thread and say what I said earlier....only I never expected it would be you since I thought you were not speaking to me :haha: :silly:
I was just worried about the OP. I could be wrong but I was guessing that she had had her cards read and was not happy with it and wanted a "second opinion." I was encouraging her not to resign to "fate" but to keep making efforts to achieve what would make her happy. I am not going to argue with you here though I can refute your claims about spirit, subconscious, "metaphysics" etc (for me metaphysics is a branch of philosophy along with logic, ethics, aesthetics and epistemology.) And last: I wouldn't have chosen the name Stardust had I not "believed" that everything in the universe is connected to each other, even if there were more than one universe or one dimension. We are all stardust that came billions of years ago when stars died. :) :star:

Edited to add: you were mistaken in assuming that I only subscribed to notions supported by proven science. Not all truth need empirical evidence, or material evidence. We have the laws of physics, maths, biology and chemistry to support truth, even if they are not complete (may never be complete due to our physical and cognitive limitations.) That truth would be wrong only if we could prove that those laws were wrong. And your statements are contradictory, I'm afraid. Predicting a future event is a sort of believing in determinism, while at the same time you also said that we were at a constant state of change.

By the way, we are digressing from the topic of the thread. My apology to Diana the OP.

:haha: Just like we don't see ghosts unless we believe that they exist. :haha:

That guy is not a pro, he said he worked in the Grand Bazaar. He saw me looking lost on the street and offered to show me the way back to my hotel since he was heading in the same direction. Then he invited me to stop by his Dad's antique shop and asked a young lad there to make two cups of coffee. He did predict something right about me, though. He said I loved animals especially cats, lol. Must be coincidence since Turkey is famous for their hospitality to stray cats, they love cats and he must have assumed that I was no difference :haha: :cat: He did not ask for money, he even invited me to go for dinner with him, of course I refused :haha:

Lori (131347843) wrote:I actually have many tarot card decks, as well lots of oracle card decks and have used them all to do readings for myself and, if I am inclined, for others. I used to manage a metaphysical store when I lived on a beautiful island that was home for artists, musicians, healers, hippies and other esoteric people. I managed this amazing metaphysical store, along with doing my own private work. and we had a tarot and tea leaf reader on staff, who were my very good friends.

I would suggest you look on Facebook groups for readers. There are lots of pages there where people will often give free readings. There are also sites on the net where you can get free computerized tarot, astrology, I-Ching and other readings. I can't link sites but if you copy and paste the bolded above into a search engine, one of the better and oldest sites should come up first. Even better yet, is to go to a practitioner in your area and have one done in person. I think you will find it will be a much better energy flow.

hi lori ,, thank you for suggestions i appreciate but i tried some facebook groups then couldnt get an answer at all and about sites they read computerized tarot as u mentioned and i really want a real person do that for me :D

ummm yes and no
If you really want someone to read then NEVER tell them why because now i would be left wondering what you are going to do since it has become a yes or no question. Thats not something a real card reader would answer.
But as a reader and lover of psychology Id have to say the real question would be
What do you think of him that would spawn you to ask to get reassurance
Which makes me wonder if you truly like/love him or if you would like/love him IF he did so as well
Which then makes me wonder the nature of the relationship as it stands.
I venture HE is a friend in your group or a co worker Some group situation.
Usually online Ill draw a single card not a full Celtic clock YOUR card was the Nine of Coins Which I would boil down to self confidence. So I would reflect that your feeling make you act differently around him Which in turn is making him wonder why Soooooo My advice. ACT LIKE YOURSELF BE YOURSELF.

well first of all thank you for time and this awesome answer to me
i truly like him and i had feelings that he likes me as well but in the first meeting he wasnt like what i expected and i took that a bit negative after that he never called me or texted he did nothing for 10 months !!! he saw me after those 10 months and then this time i acted like he doesnt exist ,when he looked at me i didnt care ,when he waved his hand i didnt care etc... so great point that u said i dont show my feelings because i feel like i was rejected at first so dont want to seem like a fool and get hurt ,, i acted so cold .. but i like him so much just scared maybe he have someone in his life now havent seen for 3 weeks......
appreciate ur advice but what if he rejects me and what if i find out that he really doesnt care about me so how can i act like myself :'(

*giggle*

I forgot about that thread. Good times.

Miss diana I am no reader. I'm a silly man who likes to have a good giggle. I neither believe in the ability to "read" anyone's future or the power of trinkets/talismans to extract that future. But if you'd enjoy a silly rendition of your pretend Yo future, I'll have some time this afternoon to grind one out. But it won't be worth the ink I put into it for reality, but it will be worth a good giggle if you don't mind laughing at yourself a little. .
