I'll probably make a nice dinner, watch movies and try not to mope around too much. :haha:

Same here - first time in 51 years I won't be with my family for Christmas. We aren't under full lock-down like you, but hubs and I respect the restrictions because we're both immunocompromised. I bought Christmas dinner sides, but we don't love turkey, so I'm not sure what I'm making. Frontrunners right now are scallops Christmas Eve and homemade ravioli Christmas Day.

Thank you all for your holiday wishes, I've been busy and couldn't reply before.

Mizz Libra, it's gonna be in the 80s, except for Friday that will go down to the 60s.

Happy Holidays to all!

That's a very sweet thing to do.
Merry christmas to you and your family!

Denna (10205906) wrote:Busy with some activities: Helping old people to get stuff before Christmas, bringing food to care homes and pet shelters, cooking for people who are ill, etc. Today started with Christmas trees, making sure people who don't have one yet, can get one in house... All this will be done until 24th.

I don't celebrate Christmas, so 25th and 26th is time to relax, watch some movies and hot choco and some cookies. 27th spending day with kids.

Happy Holidays to all! :)

I am so sorry to hear that. Overhere we went from a "loose" lockdown into a more thorough one a week before christmas.
Was reading the news daily to see if it end up even stricter, but luckily by monday it was still allowed to meet up with 5 people maximum(yourself included) from no more than 2 households. And christmas you may meet up with 4 additional people from up to as many households. So was luckily still take that trip to my mom and brother.
A nice dinner and good movie sound like a good plan to still have a nice holiday, given the circumstances.
Merry christmas!

You should treat yourself to a delicious meal and good movie at least.
The last 6 years I worked through all our christmas holdiays (we celebrate the 24th as its main holiday as well as the 25th and 26th) and 7 years ago worked on our main holiday. Mostly with overtime as well. To at least make it a little fun, that's what I did. If I was too exhausted I looked up which restaurants were open on christmas, and ordered something for pickup or delivery. Otherwise cooked at home, and ate it along a good movie. Sometimes that's all I had energy for, but it made the day better.
Merry christmas! :rose:

Those sound like delicious options. With both of you immunocompromised it may be a different way of celebrating and quieter, but safer in the long run.
Merry christmas

That is not bad at all. We are having 11 Celsius/51 Fahrenheit at the moment. Yesterday it was even 16 Celsius /60.8 Fahrenheit, which is unusually warm for German winter. The forecast says despite that some regions may still see snow for chrismtas.
Happy holidays

Ty so vm Kira and Mizz Libra  :rose: :rose:

Yesterday almost went wrong... :phew: People who deliver stuff around were told they have to do test first, to make sure they are negative. So they had to go quick and do the test, all packages were already in delivery vans. :phew: Thank God they didn't wait long and it was done quick! I just wish they told them this earlier... :nerd: However, today and tomorrow last packages and food will go around and everything will be done. Friday morning we will all have video meeting, looking forward to it.

Stay safe all
