oh I post here n there daily but am also in the middle of holiday shopping and getting out recipes and looking for different containers for baked goods but im here n there-seen you lots more-the hermit idea didn't do so well for you-I really thought you were giving this up-so glad you decided to stay and hope studies are going well for you

well Allerg I always have made chocolate fudge-lots of it -I buy new container tins each year and line the with parchment paper and fill them with the fudge. I give a tin out to all family friends and neighbours. if someone asks for a table decoration-I make it in a bunt pan and once set I add gummy drops red and green and use a thicker licorice for a bow on the top. once out of the bunt it makes the perfect christmas wreath!

I also do a traditional almond cookie recipe-they come out so soft and I try to get like plastic containers with christmas pictures on them..I find them at the cheapo dollar stores..I mean I do a lot of them and I dont expect the containers back so it can get costly.
* the recipe for these cookies is at the Philadelphia cream cheese site

I also make a christmas tree using rice krispies squares..I add the green food colour to the marshmallows when hot set it in a huge pan adding some candies so when it cools they stay on. then I cut them into squares on a christmas plate piling them up into a tree,the top I usually find a candy star or I use red licorice string and make a bow and use that..a few people ask for these for table decorations or for the kiddies at parties.

other basic sugar cookies and I do use mrs fields choc chip cookies and yes they turn out just like the ones from the stores.

as for gifts I found some tins to add things to I found a gray tin with snowflaks on it with the word "things" on the front side of it and a few different gift card cases for those that I have no idea what to get them so i buy cards so they can shop themselves

and a bunch of bottle decorations..like mr and mrs clause outfits that fit over alcohol as I know some have their one fav drink..I really did more on christmas decorations so far even tho it sounds like a lot...i havent even put a dent into the gift shopping part yet. -but am having a great time enjoying the feeling of the christmas music playing and the thought of the gifts im getting to give out-its a nice feeling

I'm gonna check that recipe out on that site. Wow, you're gonna be busy JustJo in the upcoming weeks I'm making Cow Patties (Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies), Peanut Butter Balls, Cornflake Squares, Potatoe Candy, Peppermint Patties and Glass Candy for Christmas.

The same one I use is on the internet.. its called Broken Glass Candy on the spruce eats site. And yes it looks like that and you can do it in any flavor you like
