I had it just once. I woke up and couldn't move, the general sleep paralysis stuff. I saw a light turn on behind my bedroom door and it was opening and at that moment I was able to move. It was hard to go back to sleep that night.

I've had sleep paralysis at least twice...at least I hope it was sleep paralysis. The first
time, I was a new mother and I had just lost my great aunt, her funeral was that morning. I was woke by the feeling of an unseen someone/something sitting on the side of my bed. I then felt pressure on my chest and I could not move. I tried to move and couldn't. I then tried to scream and nothing would come out. I felt a warm tingling sensation starting at my head and it traveled down to my toes. My eyes were open then entire time I could see the sun coming through my blinds. Then all at once the pressure came off of my chest and the unseen thing that was sitting on the edge of my bed lifted off. After this I was able to move again. I jumped up out of bed to check on my baby in the crib and he was fine.
The second time I probably experienced sleep paralysis I was at work. I really don't believe it was sleep paralysis, because I don't believe I was asleep...but I don't have any otjer explaination for what happened. I remember I was watching TV it was around 3 or 4 a.m. I started seeing something big, black, and misty looking in my perephial vision. I told myself not to look directly at it, but I did anyway. I saw a huge, black, mass probably around 7 to 8 ft tall it was like a swirling, black mist...almost like smoke. I tried to speak and tell it to go away, but no sound came out of my mouth. I then started to try and "shoo" it away, but I couldn't move my arms. After about 30 of the longest seconds of my life it disappeared and after that I was finally able to move and speak again.

It sounds frightening. I've never experienced that myself but had a neighbour who frequently did and believed a demon was sitting on her chest.
I was quite young when I heard about this, so not sure what came of it. I'm semi sceptical about the paranormal, like I don't believe it is as rampant as what is seems to be but there may have possibly been a few legitimate occurences throughout history.
I have that thing where you hallucinate spiders when waking up. It doesn't happen very often and the spiders are always tiny and there's only ever one, luckily haha

I think maybe it could be stress related and not real demons, that must have been awful for your neighbor. I wouldn't want to go to sleep!
I'm working on my fear of spiders, and I'm glad your spiders are tiny!![]()

The door and windows were closed tightly.
Everytime we pass by that same old house we used to live in, I would remember that night and tell my mom about it. And she still thinks it’s the wind
