I know many of us are bored and stir crazy lately... I have been busy building a small greenhouse and starting some vegetable seeds... i feel now more than ever.. a garden is important.. i also plan on scaling back on my catch and release fishing and keeping more of the larhger fish to freeze for meals. i also am going to make a foodplot and plants pupkins for the deer at my top secret hunting area.

what are you doing to pass the time or anything you changed because of the pandemic?

I have been helping out a local food pantry who needed volunteers to get food to families in need. Its been a learning experience. I have done it before during Holidays but never in situations like these and its let's say been a totally different experience this time. I also went on a short hiking trip and am planning another hiking trip soon with a cousin.

I've been refining my cooking. Not having restaurants has taught me to work more restaurant flavor into what I make. Most differences in taste I've now determined are ingredient selection and freshness. As home cooks, we tend to let flavor exist as it is, with a few pops of this or that to flavor it up. Restaurants spend the time and energy infusing sauces and coatings with things we either can't or won't do. Who knew the secret to a restaurant enchilada was a sauce that simmers for half the day, thus concentrating the flavor and thickening the sauce to stick to the chicken? I don't take shortcuts on the stove, grill, or in the oven now. I have the time to prep stuff, so I do.

Absolutely same here.
This whole thing hasn't changed my daily lifestyle except for waiting in the long line-ups at the grocery stores or banks :D
I like the calm life :)

I been working since it started. Hasn't really affected me at all. Hell, I am out on my Harleys every day when it isn't raining, so I haven't really been stuck inside. I am one of those who think its bs, so I'm gonna keep doing what I am doing... The city is opening back up Friday n e way...

No major changes for me either. Still working my usual schedule.

A few things I usually do and unable to currently would be:

*visiting my family who all live in another part of the country, taking me 6 to 7 hours by bus and train to get to
*seeing my boyfriend. Actually we're allowed to meet up with our significant other, even if they don't live with us, but for soldiers living in the "barracks" on post there are other rules and regulations. They are not allowed to go off base unless it's for some urgent business
*eating out for either breakfast, lunch or dinner or grabbing food from some places. Currently only take-out or deliveries allowed, but not all places offer that, even if they offered take-out prior. So they are closed instead
*shopping for fun things
*swimming

So instead of doing those things that I generally enjoy, I just do more of the other things I enjoy which are still doable:

*reading
*watching movies/shows/documentaries. Often binge watching
*sleeping
*cooking and grabbing food for take-out from the places that still offer it
*Yoworld and some other quick games on my cell phone

and I stay in touch with friends and family via phone more, checking on them to make sure this whole situation is not dragging them down too much, especially those who I know struggle with depression.

I've been working, but I've also been painting and cooking more. And I'm getting better at both! :D
I've also been reading, but that's not new.
