I don't think I've ever met someone on Yo that's also a theater geek, and here's my attempt on trying to find some new friends lol. What musicals do you like? I personally love Hamilton and Rent!

I don't consider myself a theater geek, but I got to see many Broadway musicals , personally for me , the best one was Rain- A tribute to the Beatles. It was just like seeing the real Beatles perform!!!
I love Rent as well, and Wicked. I think those are my top 3. Some shows i went twice (when friends come to visit, going to see a Broadway show is a must) and i enjoy them all over again.

I now know the Producers is a real show. They mention it in Arrested Development, thought it was made up. I'm not cultured enough...except I love Joseph and Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

I tend to favor musicals that I've seen live and I haven't seen anything recently. So from decades ago . . .

Into the Woods (only one I've actually seen on Broadway, others have been travelling, community theater, high schools shows and even a few movies)
Cats
Les Misérables
Mama Mia
Phantom of the Opera
A Chorus Line
Chicago
Damn Yankees (high school production I was in, but only danced since I can't sing worth a darn)
Sweet Charity
Jesus Christ Superstar

When I'm retired and have the spare time, I need to find a group of friends to go to shows with. Neither hubby or the boys are into musicals and I'm not forking out the $$ just to have them suffer through something for my benefit :haha:

Avenue Q!!!

The internet is really, really great... :haha: :haha: :haha: :haha:

I love the soundtrack to Avenue Q sooo much. I play it in the car a lot along with Beetlejuice and Dear Evan Hansen. Nothing quite like driving down the street, bopping out to musical soundtracks.

Les Misérables
Phantom of the Opera
Little shop of horrors (my bro was cast as the dentist)
Jesus Christ Superstar
Godspell
Chicago
Annie
Fiddler on the Roof
Mama Mia
Hairspray

I grew up in the bay area so went to San Francisco to see plays and my brother is an actor so have seen most of the plays he was in. When I was in NYC for his wedding I saw Les Mis with my parents and my oldest sister. I cried like 3 times, such a moving story!
