My ex bf was recently banned and is accusing me. Now he is saying all of his friends are reporting me and I'll be banned too. I'm not too concerned, because if anyone reports me it would be unfounded. However I am curious to know how do you Vikings protect us innocent players from false reporting?? :?:

The Vikings can look at all chat logs for any player at any time. If you haven't done anything against terms of service, nothing will happen to you regardless of the number of reports. I know the Vikings are more careful about that false reporting now in the forums and will take action against those who repeatedly cry wolf, but I don't know if they are as stringent in the game for false reporting.

Anyway, sorry you are going through this. Maybe you can relay a message to him that this is just a game and he should understand that no means no--go away.

Thanks for the response Erwyle! I have since learned in part what may have gotten him banned. Most certainly if his chat logs were looked into, then he did it to himself for sure.

I've been reported by 100s if not 1000s of Yos over my time playing this game. They are spineless, faceless, and worthless people with no idea what the rules of this game are about. I wish they lost a day of access to Yo for every false report they turned in.

As Erwyle pointed out, only guilty people need worry about reporting. If some asshole fills up his chat log with hate speech and vile thoughts, they get what they deserve. If they scam and sell coins...they get what they deserve. BVG is really slow about it at times, but eventually they catch up to most of the morons who infest this game.
