I'm fine and safe, but my anxiety is up and I'm going to be up all night and would love a friendly chat. It's almost midnight for me and most of my friends are sleeping.

Thank you for asking how I am. I'm OK and made it through the night. Last night someone was on my 2nd floor balcony! I heard the noise and looked out assuming it was a neighbour kitty that occasionally visit my cats. I was shocked to find a young man out there. He seemed shocked to see me! He claimed he was visiting his friend that lives on the floor below mine. He asked me if he could come INSIDE my home and walk down the stairs instead of climbing down from the balcony. I said NO and called 911 instead. He was gone by the time they arrived and no harm was done. I was just shaken up. Today I'm following up with the police and management and have filed an official complaint about this neighbour. While chatting with neighbours it seems that was not the first time a guest of this neighbour has attempted to get inside someone's home.

That would have scared anyone! I hope the police catches him if he does it again, sounds like he was up to no good. Hugs....

He was gone by the time the police arrived. I filed a formal complaint with management as this young man is a guest of a neighbour. After chatting with a few neighbours, they often have guests that cause trouble. I'm going to follow up with the police today and see if they can speak with the neighbour about this.

In the meantime, lights will stay on at night and I'll double lock the balcony door. Too bad I'm not allowed to barbed wire my balcony railing. lol

You also might want to install a motion detector camera for peace of mind. Good thoughts....

I really want to, but I have been told multiple times by management that I am not allowed to install anything. I had a doorbell camera and was told to remove it or face eviction. I am appealing the decision and asking my neighbours to do the same.
