Personally I would have been fine with new avatars and such. I feel like the current state of our avatars is outdated. When new players join the game, they dont see the "old charm" we older users see in these avatars. They quite literally see outdated graphics.

If BVGs plan was to attract new players, keeping outdated graphics was not the best route to take.

But very well. Onto the same old YoWorld.

A lot of the better PC/online games are made using Unity. I wish I could have been one of the lucky few who tested these new assets and environments that BVG was testing.

I can't lie, the background and detailing was pretty amazing. I think what put everyone off was how much the avatars would need to change to accommodate the new platform. They just didn't feel "YO". I don't know if it is possible to integrate some of the really cool graphics that the Unity platform demonstrated, but it would be pretty awesome to give YoWorld a much needed overhaul.

That's the downside with these tests. BVG released a survey showing us multiple ideas of what the avatars MAY look like, but only a small number of testers got to see this new environment and avatars they were testing. I wish the entire game got to see it, even if we weren't testing it ourselves. Gifs, videos, play-throughs, images of what it looked like would have been enough for me to vote on another survey whether or not it was something I wanted to see expanded upon.

Agree totally, AST.

I thought the new avis were a step in the right direction in terms of modernising this game, which is very much needed if it's ever going to attract NEW players.

If you think of how the avis looked originally compared to how we all look now - the difference is VAST.

Things evolve.......or at least, they should.

However, we have to be prepared to allow that process.

PS - I'm an older user and all I see is outdated graphics too because I play other games, like ACNH and TS4 :drink:

If I stepped into this game just TODAY. These graphics would have turned me right off. I'm sorry.

The way our avatars move, is too robotic. There just isn't any fluidity to it.

You just cant entice new players to join with "old charm". They weren't here several years ago for these graphics and avatars to be perceived as "charming" to them. YoWorld is not competitive as it is to other games like it

It's too bad, really - the testing showed some really cool features - but too many Yo's didn't like the idea. At least we will still have the game

Hang in there and give it a chance. Most were worriedall of their 08's and inventory was going to be gone. I'm happy to hear all of my inventory will remain as well as YoWorld. When you been here so long, the most important things are the great friends we have met and can continue visiting them as well as visit them in rl. Be patient and give it a chance, Thank you for the heads up Viking ^5

A few questions I have....

1) Will you guys be able to "fix" or "update" older features of the game that haven't been given any love in the past few years?

2) Will you guys have access to old Zynga code? will you guys be able to obtain it? What does it mean for older items?

3) Will items see an upgrade in quality back to what they were from 2014-2016? In the past few years (IMO) Item quality (especially clothing/facial items) has really seen a downgrade visually.

Would be nice if these were answered!! Please and thank you. :)
