What about modernisation? The game severely needs modernisation, IMO.

Agree

It was never updated, so, there's not downgrade.

Still disappointing though.

Absolutely.

I guess they reverted back to trying to convert the game to HTML5 again because they concluded that it was not only much easier, but also much cheaper (outsourcing price included for both engines.) As I wrote before, converting to Unity is very expensive, it necessitates the developer to get a Unity license which is in the thousands of US dollars. That much money could be used to pay the HTML5 conversion company and no license will be needed.

If cannot fix the asset, please make it a sticker. Ie screenshot of it in 4 directions (if 2 only then 2) so that at least can still place it in the house like a decal. Thank you for considering.

I agree. It appears that they'll be moving on with trying to make this transfer a "1:1", thus keeping the game as it is as much as possible. That means that visual modernization is less-likely to occur. Sure the coding may be improved. But the graphics will probably remain the same. That for me is the biggest disappointment.

Really, really wish the game didn't depend on Facebook.

After almost 13 yrs the game deserves to break free from the cesspool that is FB and Zuckerberg.

Once transferred or changed, would there be any effect to our decorated or designed home or rooms?

I don't feel comfortable buying more stuff with real money. I don't even know if my computer can do the HTML5. Last time I tried to do change to HTML my computer froze up. I think we have to wait until the actual change over to see how it works.

Thank you for the information! Glad to hear this; was a little concerned about the Unity after some other things that were said. I just have one tiny little feedback wish (if it doesn't get lost in the responses) - I would love to get the use of my picture frames back. They worked just fine, no Yo problems, but I screwed up on that fateful "Facebook had to add all these permissions, blah, blah" day, and checked the wrong box, and never to see any pics in my frames again. :wailing: I have always been too afraid to try that "trick" of deleting Yo in FB and then activating it again because after 11 years of playing, didn't want to chance losing everything. So, if you could make us have to do the permissions all over again, I would be SO happy. :D

HTML5 is the W3C https://www.w3.org/ standard for any browser on any computer. You should have no problem using HTML5 with any system now or ever. If your computer froze for some reason, it is doubtful it was because of HTML5. But indeed, wait and see if you like...
